Description
Recap: Hananosuke and Suzuki travel to find Chosokabe Motochika, the Ogar of the Western Sea in hopes that he will join them in their fight against Oda. When they finally find Motochika he tells them to get lost and that he has other things to tend to. However after a run in with Mori Motonari and his crew, Motochika gets to witness first hand what Hananosuke is really capable of and decides to help them in their fight again the Devil King. While Motochika's ship is being repaired from all the damage caused by Motonari's ship and crew, Hananosuke and Motochika prepare tons of food and drink for Motochika's hungry crew. After getting into a drinking contest between Hananosuke and Motochika, Motochika confesses that he likes Hananosuke and that he'd try and steal her away from Masamune any chance he got. Later on, Hananosuke gets wind of a vagabond known as Meada Keiji and decides to seek out his help as well before returning to Kai.

*a couple hours later*

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ alright I've got everything packed! -looks over at Hananosuke- you ready?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yep! right here! -slings my bag over my shoulder then looks around- where's Motochika-san? he said he was wanting to come with us...apparently he thinks we need protection...or something like that... -shrugs-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ seriously? -smirks- how many battles have we been in since we got here? -shakes my head- oh well...if he wants to com…. -shrugs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -comes walking over to where Hananosuke and Suzuki are standing- I take it you two are ready? I'm ready to go and I have the map -grins-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yep -smiles then looks around- by the way...where's your bags? won't you be needing a change of clothes or something?

Chōsokabe Motochika: hmm?-pulls out a small bag- all i need is one change of clothes -shrugs- i don't need to be hauling around a huge bag of stuff

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ suit yourself -shrugs- by the way...you never told me exactly how we were getting to the mainland...

Chōsokabe Motochika: oh right -laughs- there's a small boat over the side -points to the side of the ship- we'll take that to the mainland it's not far, i had my ship move closer to the coast near Kaga so it shouldn't be far to get there -walks over to the side- come on you two, let's get going

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ right -walks over to the side of the ship and takes a look at the small boat- THAT'S what you call a small boat!? -looks at the boat which looks like it could carry at least 50 full grown men-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -grins- what? would you rather sit in a tiny boat and row ALL they way there?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ eh! ...well... -looks away- now that you mention it...that's kind of what i thought we'd be riding in... -puts my index fingers together-

Chōsokabe Motochika: hahaha! you're talking to the Ogre of Shikoku! no way are we going to be rowing in a tiny boat! -grins widely- come on, let's get moving -walks forward and holds my hand out to Hananosuke-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -takes hold of Motochika's hand as he lifts me up into his arms then jumps over the side of the ship and onto the small boat hanging on the side- umm...ya know...ya could have just said "jump"...

Chōsokabe Motochika: but then i wouldn't get to hold you -grins-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ -still standing on the other side- so...um...should i just jump over then? -calls over to Hananosuke and Motochika-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ go help her! -jumps down from Motochika's arms-

Chōsokabe Motochika: i was going to, don't worry -smiles then jumps over and grabs hold of Suzuki and leaps back over- alright then! let's head to the mainland! -calls over to my men on the boat to get underway-

*on the mainland*

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ so...which way now? -gets off the boat which has been tied to a dock-

Chōsokabe Motochika: hmm... -checks the map- well we're on the coast near Kaga so we head…west…this way -starts walking-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -stands on my tiptoes and looks over Motochika's shoulder at the map- are you sure? according to the map we should be going in the opposite direction... -points the other way-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -glances at it then at Hananosuke- no, I'm pretty sure it's this way -points back the other way-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -grabs hold of one side of the map and looks at it again- no, i'm pretty sure it's the other way -points in the opposite direction-

Chōsokabe Motochika: your kidding, right? that's the wrong way! -pulls the map out of Hananosuke's hands- we want to go towards Kaga not away from it!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ and that is the way to Kaga! -points at the map again then pauses- ...oh...yeah...you're right...but which way does that way lead?

Chōsokabe Motochika: -snorts- i told you it was the right way....ah that way? -looks to where Hananosuke is pointing and checks the map again- i think it leads to a small town

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ a town?! with people? and...FOOD!? let's go there first! -begins walking off-

Chōsokabe Motochika: hey! wait! i thought you wanted head to Kaga? -follows after Hananosuke-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ i do...but i'm hungry! i want to eat!! -still walking-

Chōsokabe Motochika: well you can eat when we get to Kaga -nods back to the other path-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -stops and looks back at Motochika- mm...ok -wonders back in the other direction-

Chōsokabe Motochika: come on let's go before it gets dark -starts walking back the other way-

*in Kaga*

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ wow it took forever to get here -walking along side Hananosuke and Motochika-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ Soo...hungryyy...! -lagging somewhat behind walking wearily down the road with Motochika and Suzuki about three steps ahead of me-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -looks back at Hananosuke- well why don't we look for something to eat? now that we're here in Kaga we can wait to look for Maeda Keiji -tilts my head and puts my hands on my hips- what do you think?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -perks up then quickly looks around- where za food!?

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ I think I see some food stalls over there -points to my right where there seems to be the entrance to a market- let's go over there

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -quickly looks over in the direction Suzuki is pointing then sniffs the air- HAAA!!! FOOD!!!!! -grins excited- RACE YOU!!! -takes off running towards the entrance to the market-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ uh!? hey! wait! -blinks at Hananosuke- no fair! you had a head start! -takes off after Hananosuke-

Chōsokabe Motochika: HELL YEAH! -grins and speeds off after hananosuke leaving Suzuki in the dust-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -laughs as I continue to speed up then glances behind me as Motochika quickly gains ground on me- woah! -picks up the pace as i dash through the entrance to the market and heads straight for a ramen shop. quickly sits down as Motochika catches up and sits down next to me. glances back as Suzuki comes running towards us then stops to catch her breath as she stands next to me. grins- slow poke!

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ ahh... -huffs trying to catch my breath- i am not! -pouts- you cheated! -holds my side then walks over and sits down next to Hananosuke-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ ah! c'mon Suzuki! you should have expected that! you know how i am around food -grins and laughs-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ true-grins back and laughs looks over at motochika- i hope you have a lot of money on you because Hananosuke can eat a lot -laughs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -grins at Suzuki- it's alright -laughs- how much can she eat anyway?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -looks over at Motochika and grins- you wanna bet?

Chōsokabe Motochika: -laughs- you wanna start an eating contest?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ why not? i'm hungry...so let's eat! -grins-

Chōsokabe Motochika: okay! your on! -grins then turns and orders food from the cook-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -watches as the food is quickly brought out and set on the table. looks over at Motochika and grins- you're gonna regret taking me on, Motochika-san! -grins and laughs as I grab a pair of chopsticks then grabs a bowl of ramen and quickly downs the whole bowl in a split second then goes and grabs three more and downs them in a blink of an eye-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -blinks in surprise- whoa!...but there's no way your gonna beat me!-grins then grabs my chopsticks and grabs five bowls of ramen and downs all of them quickly-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -glances over to the side as Motochika finishes off the five bowls of ramen then laughs- yeah, sure! -laughs then downs all the remaining bowls on the table then waits as more is brought out-

Chōsokabe Motochika: really! this is just the beginning! -grins at Hananosuke as more ramen bowls are brought out and are set on the table-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -downs all of them before Motochika can take a single bite from his- you're falling behind, Motochika-san -grins-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -stares at Hananosuke completely stunned- what the hell?!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -smiles then looks over at Motochika and smiles- …hi! -turns back to the bowls that have been brought out then downs them all just as quickly as Motochika continues to stare at me. turns to Motochika and looks down at the bowl of ramen in his hands and points at it- are you gonna eat that?

Chōsokabe Motochika: -continues to stare at Hananosuke stunned- ......how the hell can you eat that much!? -shakes my head in disbelief-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ easy! I'm hungry -downs another bowl of ramen- also...you really shouldn't have taken me up on that bet! -grins happily- now you owe meee! -grins even wider then laughs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -laughs ruefully- I guess I should've known better -smiles then looks at Hananosuke warily- okay...just what do I owe you?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ i donno -shrugs and finishes off three more bowls of ramen- guess I'm just gonna have to think of something...

Chōsokabe Motochika: hmm...just don't pick anything too odd -laughs and then pays for all the food- well I guess we should get going, huh?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ oh i donno bout that -grins mischievously up at Motochika then stands and turns to leave- I'll think of something, you just wait -smirks-

Chōsokabe Motochika: uh oh...she wouldn't do anything weird, would she? -looks at Suzuki worriedly-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ maybe, maybe not -shrugs then grins- but it's your own fault for getting into an eating contest with hananosuke! -smirks-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -grins and laughs- and it's his own fault for getting in a drinking contest with me too! -laughs even harder- my only regret with that is that we didn't make a bet on it. then he would have to owed me twice...oh well...when i win that other bet he will... -shrugs then grins-

Chōsokabe Motochika: I'm glad we didn't have any kind of bet going for the drinking contest who knew a girl like you could drink so much -crosses my arms and laughs-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ i didn't know i could drink that much either -grins sheepishly and laughs- at least not until me, Shingen and the others went at it -grins and laughs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: wow you really out drank Shingen and the others? -grins-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yep. drank 'em all under the table and kept goin'...kinda like what i did with you -points at Motochika and smirks then bursts into laughter-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -widens my eye then laughs- wow i wouldn't have believed it if you didn't out drink me and all my men

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ hey now! your men challenged me! -points up at Motochika- but after just the first bottle half of them were already passed out drunk! i can see now why you thought no one could beat you -smirks-

Chōsokabe Motochika: true I guess -shakes my head- and really no else could beat me! until you came a long

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -grins- hehe yeah i guess so...but i don't think you'd be able to beat Shingen either! we kept going for hours before he finally passed out -grins and laughs- but anyway...where is this Kejij guy supposed to be anyway?

Chōsokabe Motochika: well -looks around- he'll probably be at his uncle's castle- stands up and points ahead of us- we should try looking there

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ cool! let's go! -wonders off then turns around and wonders back over to Motochika and Suzuki- by the way...which way is Keiji-san's uncle's castle?

Chōsokabe Motochika: -laughs- maybe you should just follow me? -starts walking down the road- c'mon you two, you don't wanna get lost -smirks-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ we're not lost! i asked for directions, didn't I!? -throws a small tantrum and watches as Motochika laughs and continues walking. sighs- never mind... -follows after Motochika-

*at Keiji's Uncle's castle*

Chōsokabe Motochika: well here we are -standing in front of the castle entrance- let's go in and say "hi," shall we? -grins at Hananosuke and Suzuki-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ umm...you do know these people, right? ...i mean we're not gonna end up in the prison cells like me and Suzuki have wound up in so many times before -looks up at Motochika a little nervous-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -raises an eyebrow at Hananosuke- of course I know them and what did you two do to get thrown in prison?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ well...the first time was when we met Masamune. he thought we stole his sword. the second time was when he sent us to Kai to spy on the Takeda. we got discovered and thrown in prison and were almost executed as spies. and then there's the deal with Nobunaga. Kenshin was fairly reasonable. he didn't throw us in prison. then there's you which you seem pretty cool. at least you haven't thrown us in prison or anything -shrugs- well...at any rate...i guess i can trust your word...let's go in, 'kay? -walks forward towards the gates of the castle-

Chōsokabe Motochika: wow I imagine you two didn't stay locked up though -laughs-…wait…so you think I'm "cool"…? -smiles- alright let's go in -walks forward and calls over to the guard standing in front of the gate- I am Chosokabe Motochika and this is Fuuko Hananosuke and Haruka Suzuki we've come to see Maeda Keiji

Guard: ah yes! Hello, Lord Motochika! Master Keiji is inside -motions inside the castle and steps aside to let the three pass-

Chōsokabe Motochika: well what do you know he's actually here -waves for Hananosuke and Suzuki to follow me- come on, girls

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -follows Motochika inside and looks around curiously- huh? who's that? -points to a man standing in the courtyard-

Meada Keiji: -turns and looks at motochika as he walks in with two girls behind him- Chosoakbe Motochika! what brings you to Kaga?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -watches as Motochika greets the man. smiles then waves to the men- hello! ...huh...? -notices a small animal sitting on the man's shoulder- huh? a...monkey...? -smiles and giggles then holds my hand out as the small monkey jumps onto my arm. grins and giggles as I gently stroke the monkey's back and head-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ hananosuke? -whispers- hey stop getting so distracted! -bops Hananosuke on the head-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ ow! what!? -looks over at Suzuki and raises an eyebrow at her-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ pay attention! aren't you going to talk to this guy about an alliance? -points at where Keiji and Motochika are standing-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ huh? oh! right! sorry...! -grins a bit sheepishly still holding onto the small monkey then hands the small monkey back over to the man- here's your monkey. i really like him -smiles up at the man a little embarrassed-

Meada Keiji: hmm? oh thanks -smiles and picks up my monkey- was he bothering you? my name is Maeda Keiji and this Yumekichi -grins and puts Yumekichi on my shoulder- so what's your name?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ oh! sorry for not introducing myself earlier. my name is Fuuko Hananosuke. I'm one of Lord Shingen's generals. I've come here to propose an alliance with you and the Takeda in order to stop Nobunaga from becoming immortal!

Meada Keiji: it's nice to meet you Fuuko Hananosuke-smiles- ……..wait…what!? Oda Nobunaga wants to become immortal!!?? -looks at Hananosuke completely shocked-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -sighs- i'm afraid so...and not only that...but he seems to believe that I'm the one who can turn him immortal.......and I hate to say it...but he's not wrong either -scratches the side of my face with one finger- he captured me a while back and tried to force me to make him immortal. I or course refused and he tortured me because of it -pulls up my sleeve to reveal the burn scars where Nobunaga had tortured and burned me- the man is crazy! and he'll stop at nothing to get his way!! of that I am sure! -grimaces and holds my arm as I remember when Nobunaga had captured and tortured me-

Meada Keiji: -continues to stare at Hananosuke-…he captured you and tortured you just so he could become immortal?! Oda is insane!! -shakes my head in disbelief- of course you have my help! I'll do all I can to make sure the Devil King doesn't get want he wants!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ ah! thank you!! -bows my head gratefully-

Meada Keiji: you're welcome, my lady -smiles- I had heard rumors about the Takeda, Date, and Uesugi talking about making an alliance but I didn't think they'd really do it!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yes, they have! -smiles- Shingen is the one who sent me to propose the alliances since I had already met with Masamune. and Kenshin...well...seems he liked my singing and hunting skills a bit -smiles embarrassed- that and I kinda lectured him a bit when I found a baby wolf pup and wanted to keep it. he didn't think it was such a good idea but...well...I don't think he has or will ever have the will to challenge me ever since that time -grins- I took the wolf pup back with me. he's staying with Shingen-san right now. his name is Takumi. I think Yumekichi and him would get along very well -grins and giggles-

Meada Keiji: I bet they would -reaches up and pets Yumekichi and smiles and laughs- and that's really amazing that you got all of them to agree to this alliance

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yeah -grins- and Motochika too! -grins- and now you -giggles-

Meada Keiji: really!? -turns and looks at Motochika-

Chōsokabe Motochika: pretty much -laughs a little sheepishly-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ it would seem that Motochika-san has a bit of a crush on me -grins- and Masamune too. Kenshin though...I'm not sure if i should call it a crush or just fondness...and Shingen...it's kinda like i'm one his his cubs -smiles embarrassed-

Meada Keiji: wow, seriously?! -looks at Motochika curiously- you sweet on the lady? so Masamune is sweet on you too? -laughs- you must be a real heartbreaker!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ weeeell... -puts my index fingers together and looks down at my feet- ...Masamune doesn't know about Motochika-san...and Motochika wants to challenge Masamune for me -sighs- it's hard being so cute and attractive... -sighs again then looks up at Keiji- please don't tell me you're thinking about taking me too!?

Meada Keiji: -puts my hands up- you don't have to worry about me -laughs- but I'd hate to see what's gonna happen when Motochika and Masamune meet

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ actually I hate to say it, but i'm actually kinda looking forward to it -smiles to myself- it's definitely gonna be interesting to say the least -grins and laughs-

Meada Keiji: wow -laughs hard- it'll be epic I can tell you that much -grins- hm? who's that behind you? -notices Suzuki-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ huh? -looks behind me and smiles- oh this is my cousin and second in command, Haruka Suzuki -grins-

Meada Keiji: hello nice to meet you, lady Suzuki -smiles at Suzuki-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ well...i hate to cut the meet and greet short but we really do need to get back to the ship and head back to Kai -shrugs- will you be coming with us?

Meada Keiji: ah! yes we should go immediately -me and Yumekichi nod at the same time- and yes I'm coming

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ cool! -smiles-

*a couple hours later*

Meada Keiji: been awhile since I've been on Motochika's ship -looks around-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ so how long have you known Motochika-san? -looks curiously at Keiji-

Meada Keiji: oh probably a couple of years…I wandered into Shikoku and Motochika tried to beat the crap out of me -laughs-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ uh!? -looks at Motochika then back at Keiji then laughs hard- funny! he didn't do that to us when we wondered onto his ship -grins and laughs even harder- then again I did help him to fight off Mori...and sorta took over his ship...for like 2 minutes then gave it back to Motochika-san 'cause i had to fight off Mori's men then I had to fight off Mori himself -grins and laughs- the guy's such a coward!! -laughs even harder-

Meada Keiji: probably because you two girls are very pretty -laughs- ....whoa! you mean to say you fought off Mori Motonari!? by yourself!? -my eyes widen in surprise- ...wow...you must be very skilled to have beaten him

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ well...i donno about skilled...i shot a cannonball at him. I think anyone would run away if that happened -shrugs then laughs-

Meada Keiji: -laughs- I see still that's pretty impressive -nods-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ he ran away. i hardly call that a defeat -sighs- i wanna fight him again so we can settle it for good!

Meada Keiji: well you just might get the chance -looks at you- hopefully not though, after all we need to get back to Kai right away, don't we?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ uh! yeah, you're right -laughs a little sheepishly and rubs the back of my head then grins-

*later back on Motochika's ship*

Chōsokabe Motochika: repairs are almost done. we can sail for Kai in a couple days I think -standing at the helm watching my men working-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ good to know -standing beside Motochika-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ so I guess we just wait for now, huh? -walking up to where Hananosuke and Motochika are standing-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ guess so -shrugs- hopefully we won't run into any kinda trouble on our way back -sighs and crosses my arms- it wouldn't surprise me if one of Nobunaga's men showed up on our way back -sighs and rubs the back of my head- the guy's so annoying! -sits on the railing behind the helm and crosses one foot- hey did you know I called Nobunaga a frog? -grins and laughs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: yeah I hope we don't either -sighs- we just got the repairs almost done-laughs a little- but don't worry if anything does happen we'll be ready -nods- ..... -blinks then glances over to Hananosuke- …..you called Oda Nobunaga a FROG!? -bursts out laughing- you really did!?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yeah -sighs and laughs- but really...now that I think about it...he reminds me more of a beetle than a frog -shrugs- it's gotta be that armor. I mean think about it! the horns on the helmet could totally pass an antenna -puts my index fingers to my head and makes it look like I have antennas- and the spikes on the back could totally pass as bug legs! -grins and laughs- and the cape could definitely pass as wings!! -grins-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -laughs hard- that's probably the first time I've heard anyone call Oda a frog or a beetle -shakes my head- you sure are brave to say that to his face -grins-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ i spat in his face too -laughs- and called him by several names. i pretty much did whatever i could to piss him off. though I didn't do them on purpose though -shrugs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: whoa! -looks at Hananosuke impressed- you're really something else -smiles-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ Shingen said the same thing after I called Nobunaga a frog -grins and laughs- actually everyone seems to wanna say that -laughs- not sure why though. I only say what's on my mind -shrugs- really I wasn't trying to insult Nobunaga when I called him a frog. I was actually being quite serious. then Shingen burst out laughing and I just looked at him sorta funny. I didn't know what to think -shrugs- I guess when I try to be serious I end up making it sound like I'm joking or something -sighs and shrugs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -smiles warmly at Hananosuke- or maybe it's because you sound so confident and fearless? I'm pretty sure no one else would have dared to say that to the Devil King much less to his face…and what I mean when I say you really are something else, I mean it as a compliment. you aren't like anyone I've met -steps closer to Hananosuke and smiles gently-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yeah I figured that -smiles up at Motochika- er...wait...you think I'm fearless...? well I won't question the confident part though -grins and rubs my chin thinking-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -grins- you fought the Devil kKing and you did take on Mori Motonari single handedly I'd say that you are totally fearless

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ Motonari is a coward! i have nothing more to say about the man! -huffs and crosses my arms- why you consider a man like that to be your rival I'll never understand! -shrugs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -laughs- I guess because he's a strong fighter and he defends Aki with all he has…I can't say I agree with his tactics…but I can admire his strength…

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -blinks several times at Motochika then shrugs and turns away- whatever floats your boat

Chōsokabe Motochika: ......okay... -shrugs a little confused-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ tactics such as? -looks back at Motochika curiously-

Chōsokabe Motochika: pretty much what you saw when he attacked -frowns- he'll even sacrifice his own men if it means achieving his goal…

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ hmm... -rubs my chin thinking- now that you mention it...he didn't even bother to gather up the men that had been left behind when he retreated... -sighs and shakes my head- man! now I really wanna fight him so I can teach 'em a lesson! -frowns and crosses my arms-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ damn straight! -uncrosses my arms and sighs- but I guess that'll have to wait for now, huh? so...what are we gonna do for the remainder of the time. we can't do anything until the ship is fully repaired... -sighs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: I have no idea -shrugs- maybe we can have a party? -laughs-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ party? -looks at Motochika curiously- yeah...okay...but since it's your idea, you gotta help make the food -points at Motochika and grins mischievously- oookaaayy!?

Chōsokabe Motochika: what?! -facepalms- I don't want to do any cooking!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ ok -nods- then i guess no party then -sits down on the railing and crosses one leg-

Chōsokabe Motochika: aww seriously? -gets quiet and then looks the other way- ……..okay…fine…I'll help…

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -grins- glad to hear it! -jumps down off the railing and grabs hold of Motochika then waves over to Keiji- hey Keiji-san! if you're not busy, do you mind helping out with the cooking?!

Meada Keiji: huh? -looks over at Hananosuke and sees that she's dragging a bemused looking Motochika behind her- ....sure I'm not busy -smiles- be happy to help

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -grins then grabs hold of Keiji's arm and drags him and Motochika off towards the kitchen- hey Suzuki! you wanna help, too?!

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ sure! -grins- this should be fun!-follows after Hananosuke as she drags Motochika and Keiji off to the kitchen-

*several hours later*

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -walks around to Keiji and tastes the hot pot he's preparing- hmm... -grabs a fee herbs and spices and quickly begins mincing them at lightening speed then dumps the herbs and spices into the hot pot and blends the whole pot together then tastes it again- ... -grabs a few green onions and minces then quickly and throws them into the hot pot and blends it together then tastes it again. grins and hands a spoon to keiji- good

Meada Keiji: -takes the spoon and tastes the food- wow! it's really good!-smiles- your a good cook

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -grins- thanks! -wonders off over to Motochika and watches as he struggles to cut vegetables. sighs then grabs hold of Motochika's arms and picks him up and moves him over to the side and quickly begins cutting all of the vegetables and stabs the knife into the cutting board and looks back at Motochika annoyed- seriously! if you needed help you should have just asked!! -wonders off over to Suzuki-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ hey -smiles at Hananosuke while stirring a pot of stew- poor Motochika! I don't think he's ever cooked anything before -shakes my head-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ he's cooked all three of his own meals everyday since we've been here! -shrugs- he's such a slow learner -sighs-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ -laughs- I guess -glances at Motochika at then Keiji- at least Keiji seems to know what he's doing -smiles-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ not really. but at least he doesn't need as much help as Motochika -sighs then grins and laughs a little sheepishly- oh well...at least everything seems to be getting made ahead of schedule. so that's a perk -smiles then glances over at Motochika and sighs then wonders back over to Motochika and picks him up again and carries him over to the storeroom and sets him back down on the floor- why don't you go get some more vegetables? i can take care of the cooking -tries to reason-

Chōsokabe Motochika: ...okay...but what's with you picking me up? -blinks at you-

Meada Keiji: -looks over at Hananosuke and Motochika in surprise- whoa I had no idea that she was that strong!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ never mind about me picking you up! now get going!! we need more carrots and rice!! -pushes Motochika into the storeroom then goes back to the pot of steaming rice. glances back at Keiji and grins the goes back to the rice- um...did you need something? -glances over at Keiji who's staring at me-

Meada Keiji: .....um...I'm fine -laughs a little nervously-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ then why are you staring? i have something on my face?? -raises an eyebrow at Keiji-

Meada Keiji: ah! no you don't! I'm not staring! why would I be staring? -turns back to the food I'm cooking-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ ookaay...weird... -goes back to cooking the rice- and for the record...you WERE staring...

Description
Recap: Hananosuke and Suzuki travel to find Chosokabe Motochika, the Ogar of the Western Sea in hopes that he will join them in their fight against Oda. When they finally find Motochika he tells them to get lost and that he has other things to tend to. However after a run in with Mori Motonari and his crew, Motochika gets to witness first hand what Hananosuke is really capable of and decides to help them in their fight again the Devil King. While Motochika's ship is being repaired from all the damage caused by Motonari's ship and crew, Hananosuke and Motochika prepare tons of food and drink for Motochika's hungry crew. After getting into a drinking contest between Hananosuke and Motochika, Motochika confesses that he likes Hananosuke and that he'd try and steal her away from Masamune any chance he got. Later on, Hananosuke gets wind of a vagabond known as Meada Keiji and decides to seek out his help as well before returning to Kai.

*a couple hours later*

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ alright I've got everything packed! -looks over at Hananosuke- you ready?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yep! right here! -slings my bag over my shoulder then looks around- where's Motochika-san? he said he was wanting to come with us...apparently he thinks we need protection...or something like that... -shrugs-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ seriously? -smirks- how many battles have we been in since we got here? -shakes my head- oh well...if he wants to com…. -shrugs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -comes walking over to where Hananosuke and Suzuki are standing- I take it you two are ready? I'm ready to go and I have the map -grins-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yep -smiles then looks around- by the way...where's your bags? won't you be needing a change of clothes or something?

Chōsokabe Motochika: hmm?-pulls out a small bag- all i need is one change of clothes -shrugs- i don't need to be hauling around a huge bag of stuff

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ suit yourself -shrugs- by the way...you never told me exactly how we were getting to the mainland...

Chōsokabe Motochika: oh right -laughs- there's a small boat over the side -points to the side of the ship- we'll take that to the mainland it's not far, i had my ship move closer to the coast near Kaga so it shouldn't be far to get there -walks over to the side- come on you two, let's get going

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ right -walks over to the side of the ship and takes a look at the small boat- THAT'S what you call a small boat!? -looks at the boat which looks like it could carry at least 50 full grown men-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -grins- what? would you rather sit in a tiny boat and row ALL they way there?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ eh! ...well... -looks away- now that you mention it...that's kind of what i thought we'd be riding in... -puts my index fingers together-

Chōsokabe Motochika: hahaha! you're talking to the Ogre of Shikoku! no way are we going to be rowing in a tiny boat! -grins widely- come on, let's get moving -walks forward and holds my hand out to Hananosuke-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -takes hold of Motochika's hand as he lifts me up into his arms then jumps over the side of the ship and onto the small boat hanging on the side- umm...ya know...ya could have just said "jump"...

Chōsokabe Motochika: but then i wouldn't get to hold you -grins-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ -still standing on the other side- so...um...should i just jump over then? -calls over to Hananosuke and Motochika-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ go help her! -jumps down from Motochika's arms-

Chōsokabe Motochika: i was going to, don't worry -smiles then jumps over and grabs hold of Suzuki and leaps back over- alright then! let's head to the mainland! -calls over to my men on the boat to get underway-

*on the mainland*

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ so...which way now? -gets off the boat which has been tied to a dock-

Chōsokabe Motochika: hmm... -checks the map- well we're on the coast near Kaga so we head…west…this way -starts walking-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -stands on my tiptoes and looks over Motochika's shoulder at the map- are you sure? according to the map we should be going in the opposite direction... -points the other way-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -glances at it then at Hananosuke- no, I'm pretty sure it's this way -points back the other way-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -grabs hold of one side of the map and looks at it again- no, i'm pretty sure it's the other way -points in the opposite direction-

Chōsokabe Motochika: your kidding, right? that's the wrong way! -pulls the map out of Hananosuke's hands- we want to go towards Kaga not away from it!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ and that is the way to Kaga! -points at the map again then pauses- ...oh...yeah...you're right...but which way does that way lead?

Chōsokabe Motochika: -snorts- i told you it was the right way....ah that way? -looks to where Hananosuke is pointing and checks the map again- i think it leads to a small town

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ a town?! with people? and...FOOD!? let's go there first! -begins walking off-

Chōsokabe Motochika: hey! wait! i thought you wanted head to Kaga? -follows after Hananosuke-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ i do...but i'm hungry! i want to eat!! -still walking-

Chōsokabe Motochika: well you can eat when we get to Kaga -nods back to the other path-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -stops and looks back at Motochika- mm...ok -wonders back in the other direction-

Chōsokabe Motochika: come on let's go before it gets dark -starts walking back the other way-

*in Kaga*

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ wow it took forever to get here -walking along side Hananosuke and Motochika-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ Soo...hungryyy...! -lagging somewhat behind walking wearily down the road with Motochika and Suzuki about three steps ahead of me-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -looks back at Hananosuke- well why don't we look for something to eat? now that we're here in Kaga we can wait to look for Maeda Keiji -tilts my head and puts my hands on my hips- what do you think?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -perks up then quickly looks around- where za food!?

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ I think I see some food stalls over there -points to my right where there seems to be the entrance to a market- let's go over there

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -quickly looks over in the direction Suzuki is pointing then sniffs the air- HAAA!!! FOOD!!!!! -grins excited- RACE YOU!!! -takes off running towards the entrance to the market-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ uh!? hey! wait! -blinks at Hananosuke- no fair! you had a head start! -takes off after Hananosuke-

Chōsokabe Motochika: HELL YEAH! -grins and speeds off after hananosuke leaving Suzuki in the dust-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -laughs as I continue to speed up then glances behind me as Motochika quickly gains ground on me- woah! -picks up the pace as i dash through the entrance to the market and heads straight for a ramen shop. quickly sits down as Motochika catches up and sits down next to me. glances back as Suzuki comes running towards us then stops to catch her breath as she stands next to me. grins- slow poke!

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ ahh... -huffs trying to catch my breath- i am not! -pouts- you cheated! -holds my side then walks over and sits down next to Hananosuke-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ ah! c'mon Suzuki! you should have expected that! you know how i am around food -grins and laughs-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ true-grins back and laughs looks over at motochika- i hope you have a lot of money on you because Hananosuke can eat a lot -laughs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -grins at Suzuki- it's alright -laughs- how much can she eat anyway?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -looks over at Motochika and grins- you wanna bet?

Chōsokabe Motochika: -laughs- you wanna start an eating contest?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ why not? i'm hungry...so let's eat! -grins-

Chōsokabe Motochika: okay! your on! -grins then turns and orders food from the cook-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -watches as the food is quickly brought out and set on the table. looks over at Motochika and grins- you're gonna regret taking me on, Motochika-san! -grins and laughs as I grab a pair of chopsticks then grabs a bowl of ramen and quickly downs the whole bowl in a split second then goes and grabs three more and downs them in a blink of an eye-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -blinks in surprise- whoa!...but there's no way your gonna beat me!-grins then grabs my chopsticks and grabs five bowls of ramen and downs all of them quickly-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -glances over to the side as Motochika finishes off the five bowls of ramen then laughs- yeah, sure! -laughs then downs all the remaining bowls on the table then waits as more is brought out-

Chōsokabe Motochika: really! this is just the beginning! -grins at Hananosuke as more ramen bowls are brought out and are set on the table-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -downs all of them before Motochika can take a single bite from his- you're falling behind, Motochika-san -grins-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -stares at Hananosuke completely stunned- what the hell?!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -smiles then looks over at Motochika and smiles- …hi! -turns back to the bowls that have been brought out then downs them all just as quickly as Motochika continues to stare at me. turns to Motochika and looks down at the bowl of ramen in his hands and points at it- are you gonna eat that?

Chōsokabe Motochika: -continues to stare at Hananosuke stunned- ......how the hell can you eat that much!? -shakes my head in disbelief-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ easy! I'm hungry -downs another bowl of ramen- also...you really shouldn't have taken me up on that bet! -grins happily- now you owe meee! -grins even wider then laughs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -laughs ruefully- I guess I should've known better -smiles then looks at Hananosuke warily- okay...just what do I owe you?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ i donno -shrugs and finishes off three more bowls of ramen- guess I'm just gonna have to think of something...

Chōsokabe Motochika: hmm...just don't pick anything too odd -laughs and then pays for all the food- well I guess we should get going, huh?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ oh i donno bout that -grins mischievously up at Motochika then stands and turns to leave- I'll think of something, you just wait -smirks-

Chōsokabe Motochika: uh oh...she wouldn't do anything weird, would she? -looks at Suzuki worriedly-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ maybe, maybe not -shrugs then grins- but it's your own fault for getting into an eating contest with hananosuke! -smirks-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -grins and laughs- and it's his own fault for getting in a drinking contest with me too! -laughs even harder- my only regret with that is that we didn't make a bet on it. then he would have to owed me twice...oh well...when i win that other bet he will... -shrugs then grins-

Chōsokabe Motochika: I'm glad we didn't have any kind of bet going for the drinking contest who knew a girl like you could drink so much -crosses my arms and laughs-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ i didn't know i could drink that much either -grins sheepishly and laughs- at least not until me, Shingen and the others went at it -grins and laughs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: wow you really out drank Shingen and the others? -grins-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yep. drank 'em all under the table and kept goin'...kinda like what i did with you -points at Motochika and smirks then bursts into laughter-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -widens my eye then laughs- wow i wouldn't have believed it if you didn't out drink me and all my men

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ hey now! your men challenged me! -points up at Motochika- but after just the first bottle half of them were already passed out drunk! i can see now why you thought no one could beat you -smirks-

Chōsokabe Motochika: true I guess -shakes my head- and really no else could beat me! until you came a long

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -grins- hehe yeah i guess so...but i don't think you'd be able to beat Shingen either! we kept going for hours before he finally passed out -grins and laughs- but anyway...where is this Kejij guy supposed to be anyway?

Chōsokabe Motochika: well -looks around- he'll probably be at his uncle's castle- stands up and points ahead of us- we should try looking there

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ cool! let's go! -wonders off then turns around and wonders back over to Motochika and Suzuki- by the way...which way is Keiji-san's uncle's castle?

Chōsokabe Motochika: -laughs- maybe you should just follow me? -starts walking down the road- c'mon you two, you don't wanna get lost -smirks-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ we're not lost! i asked for directions, didn't I!? -throws a small tantrum and watches as Motochika laughs and continues walking. sighs- never mind... -follows after Motochika-

*at Keiji's Uncle's castle*

Chōsokabe Motochika: well here we are -standing in front of the castle entrance- let's go in and say "hi," shall we? -grins at Hananosuke and Suzuki-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ umm...you do know these people, right? ...i mean we're not gonna end up in the prison cells like me and Suzuki have wound up in so many times before -looks up at Motochika a little nervous-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -raises an eyebrow at Hananosuke- of course I know them and what did you two do to get thrown in prison?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ well...the first time was when we met Masamune. he thought we stole his sword. the second time was when he sent us to Kai to spy on the Takeda. we got discovered and thrown in prison and were almost executed as spies. and then there's the deal with Nobunaga. Kenshin was fairly reasonable. he didn't throw us in prison. then there's you which you seem pretty cool. at least you haven't thrown us in prison or anything -shrugs- well...at any rate...i guess i can trust your word...let's go in, 'kay? -walks forward towards the gates of the castle-

Chōsokabe Motochika: wow I imagine you two didn't stay locked up though -laughs-…wait…so you think I'm "cool"…? -smiles- alright let's go in -walks forward and calls over to the guard standing in front of the gate- I am Chosokabe Motochika and this is Fuuko Hananosuke and Haruka Suzuki we've come to see Maeda Keiji

Guard: ah yes! Hello, Lord Motochika! Master Keiji is inside -motions inside the castle and steps aside to let the three pass-

Chōsokabe Motochika: well what do you know he's actually here -waves for Hananosuke and Suzuki to follow me- come on, girls

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -follows Motochika inside and looks around curiously- huh? who's that? -points to a man standing in the courtyard-

Meada Keiji: -turns and looks at motochika as he walks in with two girls behind him- Chosoakbe Motochika! what brings you to Kaga?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -watches as Motochika greets the man. smiles then waves to the men- hello! ...huh...? -notices a small animal sitting on the man's shoulder- huh? a...monkey...? -smiles and giggles then holds my hand out as the small monkey jumps onto my arm. grins and giggles as I gently stroke the monkey's back and head-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ hananosuke? -whispers- hey stop getting so distracted! -bops Hananosuke on the head-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ ow! what!? -looks over at Suzuki and raises an eyebrow at her-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ pay attention! aren't you going to talk to this guy about an alliance? -points at where Keiji and Motochika are standing-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ huh? oh! right! sorry...! -grins a bit sheepishly still holding onto the small monkey then hands the small monkey back over to the man- here's your monkey. i really like him -smiles up at the man a little embarrassed-

Meada Keiji: hmm? oh thanks -smiles and picks up my monkey- was he bothering you? my name is Maeda Keiji and this Yumekichi -grins and puts Yumekichi on my shoulder- so what's your name?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ oh! sorry for not introducing myself earlier. my name is Fuuko Hananosuke. I'm one of Lord Shingen's generals. I've come here to propose an alliance with you and the Takeda in order to stop Nobunaga from becoming immortal!

Meada Keiji: it's nice to meet you Fuuko Hananosuke-smiles- ……..wait…what!? Oda Nobunaga wants to become immortal!!?? -looks at Hananosuke completely shocked-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -sighs- i'm afraid so...and not only that...but he seems to believe that I'm the one who can turn him immortal.......and I hate to say it...but he's not wrong either -scratches the side of my face with one finger- he captured me a while back and tried to force me to make him immortal. I or course refused and he tortured me because of it -pulls up my sleeve to reveal the burn scars where Nobunaga had tortured and burned me- the man is crazy! and he'll stop at nothing to get his way!! of that I am sure! -grimaces and holds my arm as I remember when Nobunaga had captured and tortured me-

Meada Keiji: -continues to stare at Hananosuke-…he captured you and tortured you just so he could become immortal?! Oda is insane!! -shakes my head in disbelief- of course you have my help! I'll do all I can to make sure the Devil King doesn't get want he wants!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ ah! thank you!! -bows my head gratefully-

Meada Keiji: you're welcome, my lady -smiles- I had heard rumors about the Takeda, Date, and Uesugi talking about making an alliance but I didn't think they'd really do it!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yes, they have! -smiles- Shingen is the one who sent me to propose the alliances since I had already met with Masamune. and Kenshin...well...seems he liked my singing and hunting skills a bit -smiles embarrassed- that and I kinda lectured him a bit when I found a baby wolf pup and wanted to keep it. he didn't think it was such a good idea but...well...I don't think he has or will ever have the will to challenge me ever since that time -grins- I took the wolf pup back with me. he's staying with Shingen-san right now. his name is Takumi. I think Yumekichi and him would get along very well -grins and giggles-

Meada Keiji: I bet they would -reaches up and pets Yumekichi and smiles and laughs- and that's really amazing that you got all of them to agree to this alliance

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yeah -grins- and Motochika too! -grins- and now you -giggles-

Meada Keiji: really!? -turns and looks at Motochika-

Chōsokabe Motochika: pretty much -laughs a little sheepishly-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ it would seem that Motochika-san has a bit of a crush on me -grins- and Masamune too. Kenshin though...I'm not sure if i should call it a crush or just fondness...and Shingen...it's kinda like i'm one his his cubs -smiles embarrassed-

Meada Keiji: wow, seriously?! -looks at Motochika curiously- you sweet on the lady? so Masamune is sweet on you too? -laughs- you must be a real heartbreaker!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ weeeell... -puts my index fingers together and looks down at my feet- ...Masamune doesn't know about Motochika-san...and Motochika wants to challenge Masamune for me -sighs- it's hard being so cute and attractive... -sighs again then looks up at Keiji- please don't tell me you're thinking about taking me too!?

Meada Keiji: -puts my hands up- you don't have to worry about me -laughs- but I'd hate to see what's gonna happen when Motochika and Masamune meet

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ actually I hate to say it, but i'm actually kinda looking forward to it -smiles to myself- it's definitely gonna be interesting to say the least -grins and laughs-

Meada Keiji: wow -laughs hard- it'll be epic I can tell you that much -grins- hm? who's that behind you? -notices Suzuki-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ huh? -looks behind me and smiles- oh this is my cousin and second in command, Haruka Suzuki -grins-

Meada Keiji: hello nice to meet you, lady Suzuki -smiles at Suzuki-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ well...i hate to cut the meet and greet short but we really do need to get back to the ship and head back to Kai -shrugs- will you be coming with us?

Meada Keiji: ah! yes we should go immediately -me and Yumekichi nod at the same time- and yes I'm coming

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ cool! -smiles-

Meada Keiji: been awhile since I've been on Motochika's ship -looks around-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ so how long have you known Motochika-san? -looks curiously at Keiji-

Meada Keiji: oh probably a couple of years…I wandered into Shikoku and Motochika tried to beat the crap out of me -laughs-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ uh!? -looks at Motochika then back at Keiji then laughs hard- funny! he didn't do that to us when we wondered onto his ship -grins and laughs even harder- then again I did help him to fight off Mori...and sorta took over his ship...for like 2 minutes then gave it back to Motochika-san 'cause i had to fight off Mori's men then I had to fight off Mori himself -grins and laughs- the guy's such a coward!! -laughs even harder-

Meada Keiji: probably because you two girls are very pretty -laughs- ....whoa! you mean to say you fought off Mori Motonari!? by yourself!? -my eyes widen in surprise- ...wow...you must be very skilled to have beaten him

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ well...i donno about skilled...i shot a cannonball at him. I think anyone would run away if that happened -shrugs then laughs-

Meada Keiji: -laughs- I see still that's pretty impressive -nods-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ he ran away. i hardly call that a defeat -sighs- i wanna fight him again so we can settle it for good!

Meada Keiji: well you just might get the chance -looks at you- hopefully not though, after all we need to get back to Kai right away, don't we?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ uh! yeah, you're right -laughs a little sheepishly and rubs the back of my head then grins-

*later back on Motochika's ship*

Chōsokabe Motochika: repairs are almost done. we can sail for Kai in a couple days I think -standing at the helm watching my men working-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ good to know -standing beside Motochika-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ so I guess we just wait for now, huh? -walking up to where Hananosuke and Motochika are standing-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ guess so -shrugs- hopefully we won't run into any kinda trouble on our way back -sighs and crosses my arms- it wouldn't surprise me if one of Nobunaga's men showed up on our way back -sighs and rubs the back of my head- the guy's so annoying! -sits on the railing behind the helm and crosses one foot- hey did you know I called Nobunaga a frog? -grins and laughs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: yeah I hope we don't either -sighs- we just got the repairs almost done-laughs a little- but don't worry if anything does happen we'll be ready -nods- ..... -blinks then glances over to Hananosuke- …..you called Oda Nobunaga a FROG!? -bursts out laughing- you really did!?

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yeah -sighs and laughs- but really...now that I think about it...he reminds me more of a beetle than a frog -shrugs- it's gotta be that armor. I mean think about it! the horns on the helmet could totally pass an antenna -puts my index fingers to my head and makes it look like I have antennas- and the spikes on the back could totally pass as bug legs! -grins and laughs- and the cape could definitely pass as wings!! -grins-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -laughs hard- that's probably the first time I've heard anyone call Oda a frog or a beetle -shakes my head- you sure are brave to say that to his face -grins-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ i spat in his face too -laughs- and called him by several names. i pretty much did whatever i could to piss him off. though I didn't do them on purpose though -shrugs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: whoa! -looks at Hananosuke impressed- you're really something else -smiles-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ Shingen said the same thing after I called Nobunaga a frog -grins and laughs- actually everyone seems to wanna say that -laughs- not sure why though. I only say what's on my mind -shrugs- really I wasn't trying to insult Nobunaga when I called him a frog. I was actually being quite serious. then Shingen burst out laughing and I just looked at him sorta funny. I didn't know what to think -shrugs- I guess when I try to be serious I end up making it sound like I'm joking or something -sighs and shrugs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -smiles warmly at Hananosuke- or maybe it's because you sound so confident and fearless? I'm pretty sure no one else would have dared to say that to the Devil King much less to his face…and what I mean when I say you really are something else, I mean it as a compliment. you aren't like anyone I've met -steps closer to Hananosuke and smiles gently-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ yeah I figured that -smiles up at Motochika- er...wait...you think I'm fearless...? well I won't question the confident part though -grins and rubs my chin thinking-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -grins- you fought the Devil kKing and you did take on Mori Motonari single handedly I'd say that you are totally fearless

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ Motonari is a coward! i have nothing more to say about the man! -huffs and crosses my arms- why you consider a man like that to be your rival I'll never understand! -shrugs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -laughs- I guess because he's a strong fighter and he defends Aki with all he has…I can't say I agree with his tactics…but I can admire his strength…

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -blinks several times at Motochika then shrugs and turns away- whatever floats your boat

Chōsokabe Motochika: ......okay... -shrugs a little confused-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ tactics such as? -looks back at Motochika curiously-

Chōsokabe Motochika: pretty much what you saw when he attacked -frowns- he'll even sacrifice his own men if it means achieving his goal…

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ hmm... -rubs my chin thinking- now that you mention it...he didn't even bother to gather up the men that had been left behind when he retreated... -sighs and shakes my head- man! now I really wanna fight him so I can teach 'em a lesson! -frowns and crosses my arms-

Chōsokabe Motochika: -smiles- well I'd say Motonari better be careful -laughs-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ damn straight! -uncrosses my arms and sighs- but I guess that'll have to wait for now, huh? so...what are we gonna do for the remainder of the time. we can't do anything until the ship is fully repaired... -sighs-

Chōsokabe Motochika: I have no idea -shrugs- maybe we can have a party? -laughs-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ party? -looks at Motochika curiously- yeah...okay...but since it's your idea, you gotta help make the food -points at Motochika and grins mischievously- oookaaayy!?

Chōsokabe Motochika: what?! -facepalms- I don't want to do any cooking!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ ok -nods- then i guess no party then -sits down on the railing and crosses one leg-

Chōsokabe Motochika: aww seriously? -gets quiet and then looks the other way- ……..okay…fine…I'll help…

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -grins- glad to hear it! -jumps down off the railing and grabs hold of Motochika then waves over to Keiji- hey Keiji-san! if you're not busy, do you mind helping out with the cooking?!

Meada Keiji: huh? -looks over at Hananosuke and sees that she's dragging a bemused looking Motochika behind her- ....sure I'm not busy -smiles- be happy to help

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -grins then grabs hold of Keiji's arm and drags him and Motochika off towards the kitchen- hey Suzuki! you wanna help, too?!

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ sure! -grins- this should be fun!-follows after Hananosuke as she drags Motochika and Keiji off to the kitchen-

*several hours later*

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -walks around to Keiji and tastes the hot pot he's preparing- hmm... -grabs a fee herbs and spices and quickly begins mincing them at lightening speed then dumps the herbs and spices into the hot pot and blends the whole pot together then tastes it again- ... -grabs a few green onions and minces then quickly and throws them into the hot pot and blends it together then tastes it again. grins and hands a spoon to keiji- good

Meada Keiji: -takes the spoon and tastes the food- wow! it's really good!-smiles- your a good cook

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ -grins- thanks! -wonders off over to Motochika and watches as he struggles to cut vegetables. sighs then grabs hold of Motochika's arms and picks him up and moves him over to the side and quickly begins cutting all of the vegetables and stabs the knife into the cutting board and looks back at Motochika annoyed- seriously! if you needed help you should have just asked!! -wonders off over to Suzuki-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ hey -smiles at Hananosuke while stirring a pot of stew- poor Motochika! I don't think he's ever cooked anything before -shakes my head-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ he's cooked all three of his own meals everyday since we've been here! -shrugs- he's such a slow learner -sighs-

‪Haruka Suzuki:‬ -laughs- I guess -glances at Motochika at then Keiji- at least Keiji seems to know what he's doing -smiles-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ not really. but at least he doesn't need as much help as Motochika -sighs then grins and laughs a little sheepishly- oh well...at least everything seems to be getting made ahead of schedule. so that's a perk -smiles then glances over at Motochika and sighs then wonders back over to Motochika and picks him up again and carries him over to the storeroom and sets him back down on the floor- why don't you go get some more vegetables? i can take care of the cooking -tries to reason-

Chōsokabe Motochika: ...okay...but what's with you picking me up? -blinks at you-

Meada Keiji: -looks over at Hananosuke and Motochika in surprise- whoa I had no idea that she was that strong!

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ never mind about me picking you up! now get going!! we need more carrots and rice!! -pushes Motochika into the storeroom then goes back to the pot of steaming rice. glances back at Keiji and grins the goes back to the rice- um...did you need something? -glances over at Keiji who's staring at me-

Meada Keiji: .....um...I'm fine -laughs a little nervously-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ then why are you staring? i have something on my face?? -raises an eyebrow at Keiji-

Meada Keiji: ah! no you don't! I'm not staring! why would I be staring? -turns back to the food I'm cooking-

‪Fuuko Hananosuke:‬ ookaay...weird... -goes back to cooking the rice- and for the record...you WERE staring...
