Description
There are many theories on the causes of the Apocalypse. Some believe a Zombie infestation will bring about the end, others believe in an environmental collapse like Global Warming. And maybe that is true, in some reality, in an alternate plane. But not this one. Not on Earth-2. On this plane, the Apocalypse starts off very differently. No one knows what caused it, only that it happened overnight. One day, when the world was asleep, the minds of mankind grew corrupt. Man only had one thing on their mind: women were born to be slaves.

To describe the chaos of the world after the Apocalypse is an impossible task. Many lives were lost at the sudden transformation and shock of the world, and those that weren’t were no longer the same people they were before. Every man fell victim to corrupted minds, and only a few women kept their sanity and freedom.
Sophie Turner remembered her loved ones where others had not, forced by their new masters to forget completely about their past lives. But she had remembered every detail of her husband’s cruel demise. She watched the transformation happen firsthand from their living room window. A neighbor, madly in lust for Sophie, stabbed him in their front yard. When the neighbor spotted her, she dashed out the back door and as far away from him as possible.
Sophie escaped with her freedom intact but did not realize that leaving her house made her susceptible to whatever corruption plagued the world. Had she remained inside, she would have been immune to commands, but not to his advancements. Either way, she would have been doomed. But at least she had a few extra minutes of freedom to enjoy. Or rather, mourn.
She found herself at the cemetery a week later. She knelt beside her husband’s grave for the first time. He had no funeral, as the dangers and risks proved too immense for her and much of the population. The private cemetery would surely not be on the radar for any slave-seeking men.
Sophie’s instincts proved right. None arrived after her in search of unclaimed women. Unfortunately, she did not arrive at the cemetery first. One other had lost their loved ones early to the corruption. He now visited his late girlfriend’s grave. As he left, he spotted Sophie in the distance. Without notifying her of his presence, he approached her from behind.
He did not address her until after he had reached her. “Husband?”
Sophie turned with horror-filled eyes. But the stranger had not looked at her, as if his interest did focus on her. He did not seem like the other men she had encountered recently. “Yeah.”
“How did he die?”
“Murdered, the first night of this new world or whatever.” Sophie knew better than to trust this guy, even if he seemed genuine. She slowly backed away, hoping he would not notice.
“Did you love him?” he asked.
“Very much.”
Her voice answered further than it had before, notifying the man of her attempted escape. He turned around and saw her several feet away. He did not shift expressions. “Good, then sit up against his grave.”
“Pardon?” Sophie asked, but soon discovered she could not control her body’s movements as it did as commanded. “What for?” She did not hint at her lack of control.
The man answered in the form of an action, lowering his pants. “So you can show your husband how you have moved on.” A grin formed on his face.
