Description
A flashlight tracks across a room and suddenly finds socialite Caroline Dunedin, the owner of the mansion, cruelly bound and gagged. Next to her is The Catwoman. Did she put Miss Dunedin in such straits? Is she there to steal? Or is she there to rescue Miss Dunedin from her mysterious assailant? And who possesses the flashlight? The police? The attacker? Or a third party?I once read a Spirit story by Will Eisner where Eisner told the story with each scene lit only by a single flashlight. Eisner was a master of noir storytelling and I often find myself trying to recreate it.

That's a great reference. I bought several of Will Eisner's books on graphic art and storytelling. That's stuff you could assign a college course on writing, not just art or cartooning.

I've found a lot of people who can draw prettier pictures, but no one presented a story more clearly or more dramatically than Will Eisner did.
