I've never seem one with red below the eye. Is this a certain variety, perhaps European? It's feet look almost orange whereas ours here are yellow below the eye and have bright yellow feet.

Hello Merhlin. This is a North American variety and it was taken in Orlando Florida. During the spring time when they bunch up by the thousands in large rookeries the male snowy egrets will turn to this color its odd because you will see some with yellow feet and yellow in front of the beak but there are others that turn this wild color. The egrets that really turn how ever are the cattle egrets. If you look back into my galleries you will see what I mean.
