Description Having been an admirer of Banksy's work for some time now, I was pleasantly surprised to find this rat stencilled onto a planter in the heart of London's business district as I walked back from Murder By Death the other night. Fortune meant that I had my camera with me.

Yeah, they do seem like a band who'd be amazing live... they might be doing some of the festivals here this year, so I might get to check them out.

I love this photo for two main reasons.
1- banksy, 'nuff said.
2- as you were walking back from murder by death? murder by death is one of my favourite groups. pure musical brillance.

i wish i lived in london, so i could just walk around and spot his work

Well, I've been working in London now for almost a year now, and that was the first and only time I've seen any of his stuff. But then, I do work right next to the Criminal Court, so I don't see much graffiti at all Have you got 'Wall And Peace'? There's some amazing stuff in that.

As for Murder By Death -- you have IMPECCABLE taste. Have you seen them live? They're awesome -- I was scared they'd let me down because of my ridiculously high expectations, but they actually exceeded them.

How were they? They've sort of been on the edge of my radar for about six years now, but never really got into them. 'Hopipola' (however it's spelt) was featured on the advert for the BBC's latest big-budget nature series here in ol' Blighty, so they've been getting a lot of attention.
