I tell you I'd give everythingFor your happiness to be,
And I mean I'd give up anything
To show you love from me.
I know that it's not money,
Or a 20 karat ring,
But these are my thoughts and words,
And they are important things.
I'll share them with you always
Which is something new to me,
But this is just the best way
To show you love from me.
My thoughts and words are everything,
And I'm sending them to you,
I know it's close to nothing
But they show I do love you.

I feel so many poets relate in this way. Every time I share a piece I feel like I have just exposed a portion of my soul.

Exactly! And I think that's it exactly, you're making yourself so vulnerable sometimes when you put yourself out there like that, especially when you write pieces for certain people, which is why I wrote this.

Like when I posted posted my poem "The Final Rule" it was a massive effort because that was a piece I was sure I would never share, but there it lays sentiments displayed for all the world.
