Why is writing important to you?
Writing is important to me because I feel like it is the only way I can truly show who I am. I feel like it's the only way to tell the world my thoughts and what I've been through and to share my story. Drawing isn't something I've ever been very good at, but I feel like I am good at writing. I feel like I can connect with people. Writing is important to me because it is me.

When did you have an interest in writing?
My interest in writing began around last July. I know, I know, I'm just a literature baby, how can I be so interested? I became interested right after one of the two hardest times of my life. I didn't know what to do with myself. I had so many things to say that I couldn't, so many thoughts I couldn't sort out, so I put it all down on paper and that's when I became interested.

What genres of Literature do you enjoy?
I LOVE prose and poetry. I find it absolutely amazing. The tempos and the amazing usage of literary elements, I just love it. With poetry, whatever you write or read may have one specific meaning, but at the same time it could have a million different meanings. It speaks to individuals in a way other forms of writing don't. That's why I love prose and poetry.

Why you would like to be a part of this event?
In all honesty, I believe that as a young writer I need to learn. I want to learn how to make my writings better, how to become an incredible writer. I also want to show the world what I can do. I am tired of being skimmed over and being one of those writers whose work is never seen. I am tired of wanting feedback and critiques and never getting them. I want to be a part of this event because I want to learn and understand writing more than I already do, and I want to know how I am currently doing.

What is your opinion on Comments, Critiques, & overall Feedback?
I love comments, critiques, and overall feedback. I crave it. I want to learn what I'm doing correctly and what I can do better. I think they are good for any writer young or old. Without critiques, we would never know where we need to be stronger, what we're good at, or what we need to work on. I think they're very helpful.

What would you like to see happen within the Literature Community?
I would love to see other people's poems become popular. I would love to see others writing critiques and I would love the see the Literature Community grow. I want to see more people doing what they love, and I want to see more people fall in love with literature.
