Description
I climbed on inside and took my seat.
I had heard that this ride could not be beat.
My nervous excitement made me blind,
And at the last moment I changed my mind.

My decision by then was too late,
The ride had begun and it left the gate.
The ride did not go as I had hoped,
All the surprises almost made me choke.

This roller coaster goes up and down
And I cannot get my feet on the ground.
I wish I was the one in control,
But apparently that is not my role.

At first I was lost and terrified.
I could not adjust to this insane ride.
It would stop, then go, speed up, then slow,
And my joy level was running on low.

Some days I'm okay and enjoy it,
But there are days when I just want to quit.
At last I've learned to enjoy the ride,
And to face my problems rather than hide.

This roller coaster goes up and down
And I cannot get my feet on the ground.
I wish I was the one in control,
But apparently that is not my role.
