Description
My third mermaid is inspired by the Native American culture. I am not sure if it is technically a mermaid, since I have made her lower body as a seahorse - but it kind of made sense to me
At the beginning of this ‘mermaid project’ I'd actually decided not to use green at all…but once again it sneaked up on me (curse you favorite colour^^)

That's a really interesting idea, seahorse mermaids. ^^ I think the name is technically correct, because seahorses are a type of fish. Good job!

En México el folclor describe a multitud de sirenas con su nombre y su leyenda que aun siguen vigentes en la actualidad. me atrevo a clasificarlas a todas como las Acihuatl algunas son como sirenas tradicionales y muchas otras son como nagas con cuerpo de serpiente bajo las caderas. ademas de muchas que tienen otras características comunes, títulos sobrenaturales diversos y capacidades atribuidas, pero se les considera a todas diosas menores de los lagos cuando se les llama Tlaloquetotontli.

aunque ya tengo bastante información en las descripciones de las cosas de mi galería, esta algo desactualisada y en español, ya que mis investigaciones han avanzado, y ahora se enfocan en todo el continente y no solo en México como antes. pero al menos de puedo mostrarte a una sirena pes pirarucu (Arapaima gigas) del amazonas Iara: fav.me/d6lqqlq hay tambien con el cabello dorado rasgo que la identifica como ser sobrenatural.

I tend to call seahorse-hybrids different things. 'Aquataur' for males (even if seahorses aren't literally horses), and 'sea filly' for females.
