Costume: GSTQ Fashions with assistance from Joyce Ann
The outer dress is made out of a linen/rayon blend with silk brocade and dark green linen accents at the neckline, as well as silk brocade and leather accents on the sleeves. The skirt is a custom dyed dark green linen.
All of the armor is custom dyed and stamped veg tanned leather that has been riveted together. The head piece, main armor, and gauntlets lace up with suede cord.
The fans, gloves, and shoes were purchased. The gloves are an off white leather with custom painted green tops.

Oh my goodness, this is fantastic. The costume is fav-worthy alone, but the entire composition is what makes this so amazing.

i love all cosplays especially this one but my problem is that it doesn't seem all that realistic. the armor looks too new and not like i want it to be. i want it to be more used and stained as if she just came from battle. that goes for all cosplayers in this world so dont think i am talking about you specifically... i just a little tired of seeing the same thing.
but i like this one, this is the most closest to realistic. good job! and sorry for my blabbering about cosplayers

Thank you for your comments! We actually had thought about dirtying up and distressing the armor, but we ultimately decided that Suki is such a badass warrior that her armor would be pristine and mostly untouched

Well, I say "little" and I mean "fifth grader". the sad thing is, here i am six years later and I still watch avatar! I guess that just goes to show how awesome it is!

I know right? They're releasing a new avatar series next year (November, I think). I'm pretty excited! It's supposed to be more steampunk-y than the last avatar series.

it's funny that it's supposed to be more steampunk, because i'm working on a steampunk kyoshi warrior costume. i haven't heard anything on the new series yet...i am so out of the loop. :/

I heard about that! It looks really good! And I heard that Dante Bosco (Zuko) is gonna be a voice actor on that series with a "surprise" character. 8D
