Man I forgot all about this. Tragic, J.K tends to potray a lot of mothers tragically. Lily Potter, Alice Longbottom, Merope Riddle, Elien Prince...They're almost a muse in a way.

I would love to see that in the movie, among with luna's picture at DH. I can just imagine how neville fells...it' worse than if they are dead

To this day this is the best (and saddest) moment in all of the harry potter books. It even inspired me to draw a duel between Bellatrix and Alice though I haven't gotten around to uploading it yet. Anyway, I love how you portrayed this scene. You really captured the emotion of it. Excellent work!

Awesome picture, you got the emotions just right. Very sad moment, would love to have seen it in the film. That plus Gilderoy Lockhart's cameo! Sigh.

Thank you. I totally agree, it was one of the saddest moments in the books, and also sadly often overlooked. Well, I hope they at least get Neville's moment of glory from book 7 right.

It really was one of the saddest moments. Too bad it wasn't in the movie though...You portrayed Neville's expression nicely.
