So this is the shoot we've been pulling our hair out for the past month and beyond trying to pull together. Why is it that every time we try to organize one, Murphy's Law decides to kick in full gear? But anyways, it did end up happening, we did end up having great fun, and pretty pictures did end up being taken. (Despite the rather forlorn title, three more cosplayers were present. You'll be seeing them eventually. Be prepared. >D)

This actually brings a tear to my eye.
It's a lovely shot. Makes me wish I could come up with creative things to do in costume, or at least a friend around to help me take pictures of my attempts XD;
But yes. I can only imagine how sad Soren would feel when he outlives Ike. The poor guy... Outliving your best friend has to hurt more than them just leaving. At least with the later, you can always try to get them back.

Friends are a great thing to have lots of. :] None of this would have come close to happening if I didn't have friends who like the same things I do, friends who can just sit down and MAKE things, friends who love photography, friends who are willing to drive right over if I just yell in their general direction loud enough...
Soren has it particularly hard; he's a psychological wreck dangling over the pit by a thread, and that thread is Ike. This didn't seem to change between the two games; it looks like it never will. And once Ike dies and that thread breaks...

If I had friends like that cosplay-wise, I'd be set XD closest I'll be getting is next fall, helping set up a Renaissance group in my neighborhood XD
Getting attached to characters is a good thing, though; it makes acting like them easier, and even more enjoyable. That's what a friend of mine and I did to pull off a Matthew-Guy duo for Anime North :>

This is really cool. ^^ I recently discovered that I like photography so i'd like to try something like this myself sometime. Sadly no one I know cosplays XD. But that's totally irrelevant anyway. wonderful job!

There may be cosplay groups and gatherings in your area, where you can meet people and get some practice. For instance, cosplayers in the Northern California area hold a cosplay gathering about twice a year (I've never went, due to unfortunate schedules
You could always convince your friends to start cosplaying. xD Barring that, it's good practice to just snap pictures of your friends during everyday life. The best photos usually don't result from posing, in my opinion and experience. ^^

I was concerned that the "SHINY SHINY GOLD!" is too overpowering of a happy connotation, but within the right context it seems even bright 'n shiny can echo the right emotions.

Those bootlegged comforters were quite warm. :]
And it was hard to tell whether the picture was Pooh bear or not since it had his head, but then Eeyore's body and Bean was greatly confused. XD

The grass, pretty though it may be, was actually filled with prickly things. Walking through that was not the most pleasant experience. xD; Skirt-and-sandals don't help.
