...I had way too much fun with this.
Far from the only thing I've been doing lately, but this'll be the last thing I can upload before leaving for China.

Unless it serves as an advantage to Ike (which it probably never will), I doubt he would, either. ^^
I don't know, there's a genuine difference between a whiny emo-child and being traumatized and broken. :c *personal experience* It is also entirely possible to cling to one single person for dear life while rejecting all else with no romantic relations involved in the process. *also personal experience. With someone of the opposite gender which made it THAT much worse* In the mean time, however, it is quite likely for everyone else to mistake it as a non-platonic relationship and, indeed, they have been given very little reason to believe otherwise other than the fact that it's, ya know, not true. *LOL EXPERIENCE WOW MY LIFE IS PATHETIC 8D;*
I'm not an Ike x Soren shipper either, mostly because don't think it's going to end well. Should they be fully, romantically involved, Soren is damning himself for the rest of his centuries-long lifespan, barring untimely death or (far more likely) suicide. Ike is good at saving people from the brink of being gone, sure, but he fails at healing them. As much as tragedies make good stories, I do draw the line sometimes for the sake of personal attachment. xD Maybe I would feel differently if they had bothered putting REAL supports in RD; maybe not. But my belief as of now stands.
That, and the fact that I don't generally ship, period. So, no, I don't ship either of them with anyone. :3

As for your opinion on Soren and Ike, I'll take your word for it, and I hope you're alright now.
I don't do much shipping with video game characters myself, either, and I think that's probably due to my lack of experience with romantic relationships (and relationships with males, period. Yes, I fail). However, I still believe that fandom relationships can be platonic and perfectly good at the same time! (Although, that REALLY does not explain why the only FE pairing I ship is Tibarn and Naesala. 
I must say, sometimes I tire of seeing all the romantic fanart on the Internetβ¦No offence to you, though; itβs not individual artists but more the fan community as a whole...

Haha, I know how you feel! I know...three, maybe four, people who know FE well enough to elicit any useful opinions about it, and 2 out of 3 are definitely NOT used to voicing in-depth opinions and analysis of characters.
The below rant, however, is a lot more general. xD
xD Things got a lot better once I realized huddling in a corner, so to speak, wasn't solving anything. That was a few years ago. :3
Maybe that has something to do with it. Maybe you're just not as interested in those things overall, and it carries over to fandom? (For some straaaange reason my number of relationships with males shot up exponentially after I started college. Seems rather suspicious...xDD jkjk) I know I prefer platonic relationships to romantic ones in my fandoms, but mostly because I find the former more interesting. In such a case, when things happen between characters there is no cure-all "unconditional love" to fall back on, and they are forced to deal with whatever issues they have created amongst themselves on their own terms. Of course, in some cases friendship may fall close to this "unconditional love." Soren's devotion to Ike certainly does. But a lover can say he/she's willing to die for his/her partner and it may very well mean nothing (I will start quoting non-fiction books if you doubt me xD). Maybe to express that they love each other very much, sure, but when faced with death for real those words often hold no truths at all.
When a friend says that, though, it tends to hold much more weight. Because a friend has no reasons to say such a thing unless he/she actually means to.
LOL I had to take a double-take when you mentioned Tibarn and Naesala. I can't say I understand, though I am certainly amused. I suppose there is much potential, though I have trouble imagining it getting started in the first place.

You have some very interesting opinions on platonic vs. romantic relationships. I like it! ^_^ Perhaps a lot of people don't acknowledge--or refuse to acknowledge--the potential for serious emotional damage and the other issues that are STARTED by romantic relationships, not fixed by them!
...Yeah I don't know why on earth I ship Tibarn and Naesala either. It doesn't make much sense, once you think about it. But hey, they are teh sexy...which is about the worst reason to begin shipping something. Lol hypocrisy~! Oh dear...Forgive me...

9. Ah, see. In every game (that's not set in the same universe) the fire emblem is a different object with a different specific name - but always also called the fire emblem for various reasons. In 7 they just kind of called it the fire emblem and said something about needing it for the prince's coming-of-age ceremony. I've never actually seen it so...I just kind of took a stab and made it yellow. In 9 and 10 the fire emblem is Lehran's medallion, which...is shiny. And does stuff. Lots and lots of stuff. It isn't a passive object. :3

It's sadly lacking presence despite how well the games actually do. And how good they are.
It's a turn-based strategy series. The quality of graphics, character development, plot, etc varies from game to game, but the gameplay's always superb...if mostly unchanged. Go on youtube and look up some Let's Play videos if you want a better idea of what it's like. I for one didn't know that much before I snagged it from a friend; but it grew on me very, very fast.
