I love realistic mecha ... so I really love Gundam

I have an obsession with sketching mobile suits striding through the wilderness... maybe I'll turn more of those sketches into finished work... ?

This is really great! A very original Piece. I love how it shows the hardships of war never truly explored in the Gundam series. The cold steel of the frozen snowy Zaku shows hardened emotions caused in the hell of war.

I'm really glad you like it - and that melancholy feeling has a lot to do with me painting the image as I was watching the war in the pocket OVA.

I guess using a landscape to reflect those feelings comes naturally for me - but I really admire the creators of that OVA for making such a bleak, dark story actually work in a primary-colored shiny setting...

Oh, beautiful! I saw the first Gundam series a lot of years ago, it wasn't my favourite robot series, but Zakus was very interesting, I can remember these better than the 'white mobil suit' ^_^

yeah.... I think theyre by far the coolest mecha in the series (I guess I'm not so interested in the big shiny ones either... ^^)

An Gundam is such an enormous collection of anime, manga, games etc that it's hard to recommend the whole thing as I myself haven't watched hardly any of it all yet But I've really enjoyed Ecole du Ciel (one of the manga) and 0080, which has got to be one of the best anime series ever....
