The next year will be 35 years from the beginning of the dictatorship and the most dark period of my country. This act was...somehow curative. It was like a circle that could be closed, at least for those attending the event. There was grandmothers who recovered her grandchildren from the appropriations that occurred thirty years ago.

Many thanks for sharing... i didn't know that and it's so important. That is such a wonderful thing and must have been heartwarming to be a part of.
The power we have through creative measures is immeasurable yet fear seems to encompass all still at times.
Thanks again for sharing... it's a beautiful memorium

An excellent shot. You mustn't forget what happened. Every nation, every region has it's own shameful history. We cannot allow evil to get the upper hand.

The thing to remember is that the military guys work for the money guys. It's the richest ones that make the decisions, sometimes the military or the police carry out the consequences. And when someone gets exposed and pays the price of justice, it is never a banker, a stockholder, a CEO etc. It's always a cop or a General.
You or I may not forget, but humanity always does. In fact, they count on it. I try not to be political, but sometimes my conscience just blurts out the truth.

I agree with you, military guys and police are tools that people use for their purposes, but they are not innocent either.
Thank you very much for the feedback James. I really appreciate it.

We release the bird,
its skyward climb a symbol
in the watchers' minds.
Does the bird dream as it climbs?
Our earth-bound dreams are grounded.
If you don't mind, I'll like to post this poem with your image. You are of course free to make use of it if you wish.

You captured such such poignant moment, though it seemed strange to me that the bird's experience of that moment was on a very basic level. It climbed, leaving confinement behind.
It took no human dreams with it.

Heh i heard alot its so depresing --- yet still I must agree ppl need tobe remebered, and tought thrugh epmathy and memory about those who died in pain and misery. Sry but I think latino countries suffer from Mucho like life style and mucho'ismo the source of their way to take the power and run the countries. Its so egoistic and destructive --- anyway full support here M8. Its sad but there is a need for that sort of emototions in the world right now.

As I said before: if we want to heal, we must remember.
Thank you my dear, it was a deeply moving moment. Tears that washed our souls.

Thank you for sharing, Guille. It is deeply moving.
When I was a student, many, many years ago, I had a lot of fellow students from Chile, Argentina, Bolivia ...
And I enjoyed their company a lot, food, music, their way to enjoy life even in exile.
But I was too naive, to really understand what was going in their home countries, and even now, I sometimes feel ashamed about this.
And it is good to see, that despite of many problems, your continent has changed a lot to the better ...

Hope and Never More!. It was a very bloody way of learning, but thereΒ΄s no way to return to this days. The worst darkness I never know. Yes, we change, but the cost was too high.Thank you my dear friend.
