The last five Dromaeosaurus were just minding their own business surviving ten million years after their kin when a Quetzalcoatlus comes and devours them all instead of the Triceratops they were feeding on. This individual has since been given the title "Doom of Species".

Azhdarchds weren't scavengers. Not to mention Dromaeosaurus lived earlier.

Any terrestrial carnivore today will take advantage of a dead animal given the chance, there's no such thing as a pure scavenger simply because all carnivores engage in predatory behavior but some are not powerful enough to bring down certain animals so they feed on their dead given the chance for additional nourishment.

Given the chance, predators do eat dead animals, yes.
What I meant was that that chance is hard to come across, therefore a predator has no choice but to kill its food.
