I love this reconstruction. There is a tendency among palaeoartists to reconstruct avians such as Archaeopteryx lithographica as more basal-looking than they probably should. They add scales and subtract feathers and even bone structures for the sake of a more reptilian appearance. Thanks for not being part of that trend. A. lithographica was quite certainly copiously feathered, and this speedpaint really brings forth its appearance in all of its pennaceous, flight-ready glory!
