Haha, aww. That's sad lol. I'd use hum a camouflage pallette, the makeup is reaaallly hum thick it covers a lot, you only need a little because it's so dry and has a lot of pigment 
And i'd go the opposite color, if the bruising is blue i'd use an salmony color, etc. Though if it's black and puffy...
