Description It's Halloween, and I've got several goodies in my treat bag for everyone. Not only do I have the cover here, but a complete story to go with it. I, like many of my friends, have wondered what this would have been like as a Treehouse of Horror episode. I actually did the art for this about a year ago, and it was on a different background - I only posted it at Tumblr, even though I thought it worked out well. I'm glad I waited, and wrote the story to go along with it: www.deviantart.com/gulliver63/…

Those burning red eyes. Did I mention that the original of this had a background based on a Megadeth album cover?

Well, it would fit the theme that's going on here.

I had to look up that reference...kind of like the game's Loki, I take it...

No, actually, I'd say he's more like Mimer, if he was a god, and still had his head attached.

Now, THIS GUY, is more like Loki.

Meet Cegorach, the sarcastic, vidinctive, petty, Eldar god of Trickery and Subterfuge. Hobbies include, lying, trickery, miming, and generally screwing over everyone you can for a bit of a laugh. Really, really, really, does not like Chaos, for obvious reasons.

Did I mention he was one of only two of th Eldar gods known to have survived the fall of the Eldar Empire? (The other is Isha.)

As in, Classic Warhammer, not Warhammer age of Sigmarines?

I started getting into Warhammer back around 1989, so it's been a while ago. I started with the Red Dwarf magazine issues.

It's remarkable how suitably-sized sheets are always available at the right time.

Otherwise...

*Marge, hiding behind the house* "Umm, Homie, could you drive to the mall and buy all the king-size sheets they have...?"

There you go, another pic idea.

In the story we find out that Homer sort of...uh...borrowed some sails off of Burns' yacht. Then again, when Homer got grotesquely fat, there was that mu-mu...

Even as a giantess, Marge looks fabulous in her ersatz bikini.  Excellent use of digital painting and a nice Halloween salute to a sci-fi cult classic.

Thanks! It was such a fun picture. It has little to do with the story, depicting a dangerous giant Marge on a savage rampage. The original had a different background, based on this Megadeth album: www.target.com/p/megadeth-peac…

You're welcome.  Although I'm not a fan of Megadeth (fact is, I'm not a fan of heavy metal music, period!) the design of the album cover is quite macabre and appropriate for Halloween.  Still, your giantess Marge, while seemingly menacing, is very sexy looking.  And it's a shame that she seems bent on squashing all the people trying to flee from her rampage.

I actually have a taste for this sort of music, and listen to it quite often while doing projects. At work Metallica's "And Justice for All" is often my morning start-up music. What I usually start my art projects with is still that latest Jon Anderson album, Anderson Stoltz.

Well, everybody to his/her own taste, I always say.  We're all individuals with individual tastes and preferences.  When I do an art project, I listen to music that matches the theme of the art, for example; a horror pic will be done to the theme music of "Halloween," or "Tales from the Crypt."  A scuba scenario will done to the music of "Aquatic Dance" and the ending music of "The Bounty" by Vangelis.  A martial arts pic will, of course, be done to the opening theme from "Enter the Dragon" and from the tune "Play With Me" by The Thompson Twins.  And any comedic scenario with Stu, Rhonda, the Family Guy cast or your OC, Richelle, will be done to either my favorite oldies rock 'n roll or polka music by the Six Fat Dutchmen.  There you have it, my menagerie of music for art creation.

Oh, speaking of horror, I'm quite partial to doing art to the Alien soundtrack.

Some nice chap out there has saved us the money on YouTube www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ftsJo…

At the end of it there is a very nice interpolated piece of music from an American composer named Hanson - beautiful stuff. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kef3EW…
