Oh yes indeed. I liked that episode.
Random thought, have you even considered reversing the Simpsons genders? like that three seconds when, Bart and Milhouse broke the time stopwatch, then when Lisa got it she was putting the "What does this button do?" button.

I like the fact that I tried to keep the colors consistent, and that I gave "her" a little pair of flip-flops.

Now this is the perfect setting for the Gruesome Twosome.Β What could beΒ more fitting for those two moo-cows than to be in a parody of an el-cheapo sci-fi/horror film from the '70s.Β The poster design is outstanding!Β And I especially like the inclusion of Dr. Nick Riviera, one of my favorite Simpsons characters.Β And not to worry, good buddy, this excellent Halloween offering of yours will possibly make me bust a gut laughing, but it will definitely not keep me awake tonight.Β Great piece of work.Β Β Β Β

What it needs is some sort of early 70's rock bands like Ram Jam and Molly Hatchet. I almost wish they'd do this - it'd be fun.

I recall the band Molly Hatchet, but I don't remember Ram Jam.Β Still, as long as it's not disco, I'm sure it would be fun.Β Your poster design was truly inspired.

Disco? Ick. In those days I proudly wore a Q95 "Disco Destroyer" t-shirt. You remember Ram Jam. Now just imagine my picture as a movie, and this being its soundtrack:Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0OFF3β¦

Thank you kindly for the link.Β I do remember hearing the song "Black Betty" on the radio lo those many years ago, I just didn't know the song was by the group Ram Jam.Β And after hearing this golden oldie yet again, I can see where it would fit perfectly as a soundtrack for your movie parody.Β And referencing your "Disco Destroyer" t-shirt, many of my Army buddies work "Disco Sucks" t-shirts, often under their fatigue shirts.Β

Our local radio station would basically destroy disco records every day; they'd play about 7 seconds of the thing, and then use the needle to decimate it and then smash it.Β
I thought of so many other bands that would go great in a film like that, like Foghat, Humble Pie and Head East.

Foghat sounds like a group who's music wouldΒ sound good with your movie parody.Β I've always dug their big hit, "Slow Ride."

Oh, God yeah. That was 40 years ago, when I moved here to Indiana. I might have seen something like this at the Greenbriar Theater, which we always called the "dollar theater" because of its movie price. We would have bought a bunch of candy and crap from Hook's Drugs nearby, which is now CVS Drugs.

When I was a boy, we used to have a Rexall Drugs near where I lived where I used to buy candy and comic books.Β The only time I went to the movies was atΒ a drive-in movie, back when they had drive-in theaters, all of which have since either been torn down or converted to flea markets.Β

Oh yeah, to do some "Bob things." As a funny side story, I went into a little diner where we used to get quarter cups of coffee when I went to school there in 1983/84. Not much had changed, except that quarter cup of coffee was now $1.35.
