You know, if you watch the episode, Selma tells her eight year old niece to 'drink the water', that's kinda horrifying in retrospect.
No wonder Lisa went cooku bananas...
Faved.

As wacky as other parts of the episode were, the giant sub sandwich springs to mind, that part seemed pretty realistic. Parenting, it's harder than it looks.

It's been a while since I saw that episode - are we assuming the water was 180 proof, or did we see Otto drop a bag of LSD into the water?

I don't know...the latter might be true, as she sure got stoned on it. I don't remember ever having hallucinations from beer...

Maybe it's the yeast used to make the beer that turned bad. After all, Homer also got similar symptoms thanks to his shroom sandwich at the beginning of the episode.

A very psychedelic yet cute rendition of Lisa's "trip" at Duff Gardens in the "Selma's Choice" episode. I noticed that you gave the Lisa hallucinations some rather cute bare feet. And for those of you who are too young to remember; when Lisa called herself the "Lizard Queen," it was a reference to the "Lizard King," the title given to Jim Morrison, lead singer of the rock group, The Doors. And having read your chat with xWARZARDx, I agree with both of you; the Simpsons during their early stages were so much better than what we see today. Instead of the carefree, if belittled younger sister of Bart Simpson, Lisa has become a preachy, annoying, liberal, pseudo-intellectual pain in the keester. Or, as Ned Flanders in a rare display of anger described her, "Springfield's answer to a question that nobody asked!" Apart from all that, this is an excellent, eye-catching display and a skilled use of digital painting. Very well done.

"Simple," he says! Simple like radar! I know I could never come up with something as eye-catching as what you've achieved here. The black background with the multi-colored stars really set off the dancing Lisa hallucinations.

Well, Milhouse van Houten is just a myopic nerd with no real opinions of his own. He's mainly a follower and stooge for Bart Simpson. Ralph Wiggum is just a retard who couldn't outthink a brain-damaged orangutan. Neither of these Simpsons characters are very offensive, if at all, whereas Lisa Simpson and Brian Griffin represent, to me at least, the self-righteous liberal who present themselves as intellectually superior to the rest of us and that they have all the answers and should be in a position to lead us poor know-nothings by the hand. To a liberal, conservatives, like myself, are either tobacco-spitting, gun-toting, pickup truck-driving, sister-marrying rednecks or neo-Nazis or sheet-wearing Ku Kluxers. This is what often passes for humor on the Simpsons and to a lesser extent on Family Guy. To me, liberals as represented by these Hollywood nabobs, especially that bloated, perverted, overstuffed bullfrog Michael Moore, are persona non grata. And they will always be.

I had to laugh when I read your description of rednecks. My late mother used to call Kentuckians south of the river "briar hoppers." I know there's no love lost between you and old Michael Moore; Whoopi Goldberg ended up on my shit list a while back when she called for some boycotts in Cincinnati - you mess with the hometown and you end up on that list (Danny Glover, BTW, didn't support that boycott). Cincy is a very conservative German catholic town, and them that don't like it can just stay out of it for all I care.

I remember your defense of Cincinnati, OH. And I'm looking forward to visiting it with you. There are all sorts of names for certain inhabitants of rural areas of the south. Your mom referred to southern Kentuckians as "briar hoppers." South Carolinians are often called "tar heels." People from the Ozarks are generally known as "ridge runners." My description of rednecks were derived from the generalized stereotypes used by liberals. Like you, I also dislike Whoopi Goldberg for her racist anti-American, anti-cop views. Another prominent black woman who really burns my biscuits is Los Angeles representative Maxine Waters who is among those Democrats who want to impeach president Trump (yeah, good luck). Maxine is an uber-liberal, saggy-faced, flappy-mouthed hood rat! And that bitch will be on my crap list from now until the day I die.

Fun picture, it's always fun to see Lisa act as her early season counterpart where she's actually more care free and crazy instead of devolving into the annoying little SJW brat as a reflection of the writers' preaching.

Everything was better about those early episodes...when the art was crap and the writing was excellent. All those excellent episodes, like "Homer's Odyssey" and "Last Exit to Springfield." Hell, I even liked the very early Homer better, with his grumbly Walter Matthau voice, before he turned into a mentally handicapped child-adult.

As well as the rakes.
"Use a Pen Sideshow Bob!" *faints*
"No that's German for Dee Bart, Dee!"
"No one that speaks German can be an evil man!"
and Homer with that big cuban cigar.
