Description (Click image to enlarge.)

This photo was taken in Chicago, Illinois. The beauty (or curse) of the gothic subculture is the near endless variety of styles that still encompass the scene. Both of these men considered themselves goth, but their styles were vastly different. The one on the right drinking the bottle of soda is reminiscent of the classical goth with the makeup and spikes, while the fellow on the right is more akin to the dark cowboy image made famous by Carl McCoy.

I guess whatever works...

Np, about the fav, I felt compelled to basically because I haven't seen a fellow goth in person since the last time I went on a road trip to Atlanta basically. (I think I might be the only one where I live, so I tend to lurk on all things gothic online.)

So sorry for the delay in getting back you you, but I went back to school full time and the last year was hyper-busy!Β  The goth scene isn't as pubic as it was in the 90's, but it's still around.Β  Your best bet is to check out the local clubs in your area for goth/industrial theme nights.Β  Or, just start "painting up" and go about town and start your own scene.Β  Likeminded people will eventually find you.Β

I don't really see many Goths around. =/
Loads of "Emo" and/or "Scene Kids".

I agree. The goth scene has really tapped off since the late 90's. But then again, like with everything else, the lines blur and there is cross-pollination for better or worse. In my opinion, generally worse. But then again, evolve or die. Besides, the punk scene felt the same way when the goths emerged as punk’s proverbial bastard child, so it’s probably just a natural progression of the music subculture.
