Customized sketchbook I made for my cousin's birthday.The design wraps around to the back, I'll post a collage of detail shots later.
I actually like this a lot...
which is very rare for me to actually like something I made.
It was kinda scary drawing it, since I couldn't sketch it on the cover first, and if I fucked up I had no way to fix it. Plus my sharpie started to die half way through, which made things a little messy...
Not to mention, I was making it up as I went, which is also a rarity for me. I had looked at a bunch of Day of the Dead folk art, and then kinda combined a few different styles into my own, and added a bit of henna-esque flair to it.
