Description
A sister ship of the Yamato, and a refit of the Yamato-class starship under the command of Saki Todo. She was deployed while the Andromeda was undergoing repairs. The one difference about the Ginga (a Japanese word for Galaxy), is that it's powered by the Cosmo Reverse System; designed to disable enemy ships and preserve life, but due to the lack of firepower, she requires an escort of ships to defend her.
Six months after the battle (AND going against Plan G), the Ginga was repairing the damage done to the moon, but was joined by four ships (the Andromeda-A among them) to welcome the Yamato's missing star couple back home
