Description Since a lot of people either appear to be confusing my rifle with an ACR, or just simply think it is, I decided to make a side by side comparison of the two.

Now the similarities and differences are clearly illustrated. I scaled the ACR as close to mine as I could get it by just eyeing it. I used the top rail of each rifle for the scaling point as those dimensions are typically universal.

Anyway, I hope this clearly illustrates that the rifles are not one in the same, and I will also be posting a side by side next to the SIG 551, to show that this rifle is more SIG than anything else.

Don't get me wrong, they do share many similar features, but it's not as close as most people think without seeing them side by side.

I notice your ejection port is hella short. What's up with that?

I will also note for all the haterz, everything about the Masada/ACR is lovingly ripped off of other designs, and SIG wasn't the first to pull a stock like that.

Finally, your rifle looks decently heavier than the ACR. This is not a good thing. Can you give me a weight quote for the RAR based on estimates for materials here and there? Or does your modeling program not support it?

The ACR's ejection port is the same longitudinal dimension as the AR-15, just a little taller. Mine is the same dimension as the 550 series rifles. I will get you a weight estimate very shortly, just have to apply a specific material to each component to "weigh" the model.

Right, I'd hoped you could do that.

Alright so my rifle weighs in at 3.556kg (7.84lbs). That is unloaded, with a 16" barrel attached. The Sig 551 weighs 3.4kg (7.5lbs) with the same specs, aside from a 14.3inch barrel.
The ACR weighs in at 3.175kg (7lbs) unloaded, with a 14.5 inch barrel. So realistically, these rifles are in the same weight class, mine being heaviest because of the extra parts involved in my design.

Nah, dude, the ACR weighs 8.2lbs. The RAR is lighter than I expected.

A loaded ACR, maybe, but I got the specs right from a bushmaster catalog that I got at work.

Well, the catalog is wrong. Unloaded, it's 8.2lbs. I get this number from a guy who bought one, weighed it, and posted the pics on ARFCOM.

It's certainly lighter than I anticipated.

Well just the skeleton design. Sig's folds, where the ACR's does not. Also, the SIG 556 Classic stock adjusts for length of pull, and folds, where the ACR, still does neither, unless you add that particular stock, which is more similar to a SCAR.
