Description This is my latest project so far. It is a reverse-action rifle that I've been sketching/ designing for the better part of 2 months now. The design is unlike any currently functioning weapon in the world, and directs all felt recoil away from the shooter to the front of the weapon. I have a cutaway of all the working parts to illustrate just exactly how it works, however, since doing research on this project, I've decided not to share the internals for now, because I don't want anyone stealing this design.

You'll just have to take my word for it, that this will revolutionize the assault rifle industry much like the AK-47 did.

As you can see, from just the front end, it carries aesthetic inspiration from all of my favorites, notably the SiG 550 series, the H&K G3 series, and a few concept drawings I've done in the past.

Hey there, sorry for the incredibly late reply...I haven't been active on here in a long time. Had a bit of a falling out with this website. I will message you my email address where I can be reached reliably. Thank you!

Lol, no not at all. The Kriss is recoil operated just like any pistol. The only thing it does different is pivot the bolt downward into the frame.

ahh i see

ok, what percentage of recoil does this gun deminish? and does it lessen the velocity of the bullet at all?

It reduces all of the weapon's mechanical recoil by 100%. The only recoil felt is the combustion of powder in the cartridge. After the bullet passes the gas channel, the gas is diverted up and forward instead of backward towards the bolt group. I'll send you a cutaway if you give me your email, and as long as you don't share it

yep its definataly a sig55 if its based on a G3 its gonna be awsme, but reverse recoil?
wouldnt that just push the acorning to where it exits,
i just cant wait for someone the design handhend gauss rail sci-fi mac guns rule

The externals are roughly G3 up front, but mostly SiG everywhere else. But as with the entire rifle, everything is completely custom. Real G3/SiG parts would not fit in this rifle anywhere.

The reverse-action works by sending a counter-weight forward using the rifles ported gas, rather than directly sending the bolt-carrier backwards. That's the most detail I'll give away hehe.

And as for the hand held guass rifle, I'm working on that too Still in the research/experimenting stage.

ported gas counter weight, shit thats smart thinking
next thing youll solve the caseless round problem,eh
experimenting with gauss?
geez i thought you where a modeler not a rocket scientist

I more of an engineer than anything else. I use engineering software to model my designs so it's very fast and efficient for me to build fully-functional assemblies. However, my previous work has caught the attention of a game developer, and now I make models for him on the side hehe.

As for caseless ammunition, The primary issue is uneven burn inside the chamber, causing the bullet to fly unpredictably. The solid fuel also has a tendency to crack and chip. One day someone will get it right, but for now, I am perfectly content with cased ammunition. Call me old-fashioned, but there's just something about brass flying out of my weapon and hitting something nearby that makes shooting that much more satisfying.

call me sycotic but theres somthing about heads dramaticaly exploding in confetti that makes shooting much more satisfying

engineer?,game developer?,
im just a 14 yr old, tiny minded gun obsesst, half bad program engineer who cant spell and likes sploding heads.

whoa,i just summed up my life in one typo-filled sentance

Yea I want to bad, but the issue is money. Patents cost a lot and the paper work costs money too just to file it...

I have copywrited a lot of art can you copywrite the image until you have the money to patent the design?

GundamGPO3 In reply to Aeoline [2009-09-07 01:14:34 +0000 UTC]

I can, but a mechanical schematic can just be redrawn by someone else, they can change the design a little, and call it their own.

Seems like some really interesting project. I really like what I can see so far. It's too bad that we can't see any details about the mechanism but I can understand your fear of theft.

Seth I would show you man We've done a project together already, and plus, this is going to loosely resemble the rifle you and I made. I'll pm you a cutaway in a bit hehe.
