Description A photo of my ALMOST completed cab for the Abuelo. The cab is all wood construction with the exception of the roof hatch and some thin plastic styrene for some flooring on the Fireman's and Engineer's side. The wood was hand cut and stained with a Minwax stain marker "Early American". The roof is removable and the roof hatch is from Ozark Miniatures and is fully functional!

The wood still needs to be sealed with a clear coat of some sort and the rood still needs to be covered in masking tape to mimic tarpaper. The roof hatch still needs to be neatened up and, obviously, painted.

Hope you guys like! More photos to come. Please comment if you fave!

Gauge 1, 45 mm. Used to represent 3ft gauge track and equipment often used by American Narrow Gauge Railroads.
The Scale is 1:20.3, also known as Fn3. This goes along with a project to take a very toy-like battery powered train and make it into a half respectable freelance model locomotive. Below is a link to an overall progress shot of the locomotive.

I'm better at working with wood than I thought I'd be.
Next is the "Tar Paper" roofing, minus the paint and such.Β

I plan to... as long as "someone" doesn't force me to get rid of EVERYTHING I own first...
