Ratchet and Clank being badassesComments: okay while I will conceive that I overdone the detail in some areas I re-imagined Ratchet and kind of combined generation one Ratchet from the first game with the cap, harness and pants. Combined with he current generation default armor from the Future series A Crack in Time. By combining the looks of the two i got this, a re-imagined ratchet . I Took Reference from ktsukami31 Ratchet, While not a fan of Ratchet being naked and truly 'gone commando' I found it fitting for the anatomy reference so I drew this of course in my own version (he has clothes on, I will not disgrace Ratchet) [link] .
Fun fact did you know that The Cryo-Mine Glove was invented and made by Kaden ( Ratchet's father) Look it up on Ratchet and clank wiki [link] . Which is why I have it equipped on Ratchet in the drawing, feeling that it is his fathers in a way. Also the chain attached to Ratchet's belt is attached to Alister's pocket watch. its these little details that I put on the theme of the picture is Ratchet's history.

Anyway, this is really nice. I love the style and anatomical precision going on here. Your style is actually pretty remarkable; realistic but artistically believable. The detailing is very vivid and cleanly drawn on with little smear and all that fun stuff that comes with pencil drawings.
The his outfit is absolutely great, and the pocket watch with the chain are epic details.

Sorry for the long reply I had to really think about this one. I Must say that when I designed the re-imagined Ratchet I had his default armor in Ratchet and Clank A Crack In time; the default Holoflux Armor combined with his more traditional armor seen in the first Ratchet and clank, As itβs known as old School Ratchet armor where the harness, pilot hat, and pants are the only thing he wears that made him look more simplistic in design. I favored how he looked back then in the first game and as well as the more modern renditions of him. So I guess its kind of the sense of combining the old with the new, I just got rid of his hat, to keep it similar to the original concept art that insomniac intended to draw him as seen in the earlier concepts, thus this is how it turned out. The tail looks a lil stiff in my opinion but the rest is pretty well done

I know the tail was a pain but no matter how I drew it the tail looked kind of stiff so I was frustrated and said leave it be before it looks funny or weird. Thanks.
