Someone suggested that I should show how I make my origami piece from scratch. Good idea. So I try it with my latest creation, gryphon. I take pictures every once in a while and I hope the transitions shown here are smooth enough.For those interested, let me guide you through the process. I began by dividing the paper into 3rd followed by pleating the raw edges. Taking reference points in the initial step is crucial for base making, it took me 1 hours to finish pre-creasing. Then I collapse the model to form the base, notice how simple the base shape is, 3 points sticking from one end and 5 from the other end. 5 is the anterior, 2 points for legs, 2 points for wings and 1 point for head.
Then came the final shaping, first I took care of the 4 legs, carefully narrowing the claws. Then I color change the tip of the tail and finally I fold the eagle head. Ok, everything is in place and now, to pose the gryphon as cool as possible
From square to finish took me around 5 hours.

That is AMAZING origami but,
you use metallic paper, it makes me hard to make.
maybe you can make it using white paper, colored in outline in each Pleats
and make more pictures and details on the folds, especially on the part eighth

A video tutorial from start to finish would be very convenient. You see, not all of us in the comments (even the ones that are good at origami) are geniuses. I, for one, am finding it impossible to work from the pictures provided. So if it is to your convenience to do so, would you please provide a video tutorial (or at least full instructions)?

... You're using intergraded boat bases... I have a model that uses a different base, but the same conception for adding toes to the ending design. Course mine is a frilled lizard.

It's a good idea to put "the making" of one of your creatures, it really shows how much work goes into folding one! I wonder why the table-top changes colour part way through...
