While i'm not exactly someone who would write an extensive critque like this, i must say, there are so many aspects of this incredible photograph that makes me want to speak up a bit. First off, i would like to point out the interesting focal point. This is one of not too many photos that effectively uses emphasis on a specific area of the image, and it intrigued me to notice that no more than a second after scanning the photo, my attention was immediately brought upon the bassists left hand. The way his hand rests upon the fretboard is interesting and i loved how clearly the shadow casted by the strings was, how the light hits the neck of the bass in a manner that is, in a sense, tranquil and gives the image a eye-catching luster despite its monotoned/sepia tinting. And while this didn't affect the way i viewed the image, i found it further interesting that on his left hand, his index (pointer) finger shows up much clearer than his middle finger, but i digress. Very excellent job, probably one of the best photographs i've seen on deviantArt.
