***omg, took me forever to get to this part - first I sketched, then scanned to fix things, then I printed it out and used my new light box to trace over the printed out sketch (with ink! omg no erasing afterwards? whaaaat?), then I scanned again and did the colour holds and flat colours. Next up in shading.***

Nope, this is after she dies. Sloan Queen is a manifestation of a fragment of Galatea's soul, that was cast off when she died. It's the only part of her soul that's left, and it's too small to be reborn in a body so she can only project herself in images now, like a ghost, and briefly occupy bodies. She wanders the Cosmos and through wormholes and such arrives at a time long long ago where there are no alliances created yet, and knowing the future, she manifests into this ghostly form to gather senshi of the Messier objects to start the Messier Alliance, becoming the first Sloan Queen. After her job is fine and she passes the title onto someone what, she continues on her way, wandering the universe. Pretty much.

Time isn't linear. The Sloan Queen comes after the most current version of Galatea, however she exists in the "past". But yes the version I draw her most in takes part in present day. If you refer to the manga, they use a similar story line that weaves into the future and past. But to summarize it, time is not linear, so to fully understand it, think of it more like a tangled ball of yarn. There's a timeline on the yarn, but it's not straight.
