Description

Not too sure why this is this colour, but it's how the print came out!

I'm sure you do have somewhere similar, this park is just 15 minutes drive out of the centre of Sheffield - hardly a small city!

In the distance you can see the hills of the Peak District - now that's an amazing place.

Still yet to get that negative scanner to see if it really is that colour or whether it was down to the people at the developers

It's some magical stuff... they're on my list of cameras that I must use before it's too late.

Gwirrel In reply to arctoa [2008-06-05 08:31:49 +0000 UTC]

Yup, it always saddens me to see people relying solely on digital cameras without experimenting with any other forms, or even other methods of using a digital (ie lensbabies, playing around with dof etc).

I try to open people's eyes but they're just so unwilling to even try out something like a pola, and discover just how magical and special they are.

Nothing beats having a photo in your hand, for you to stare at, see all the intricate details.

It's very much lost on the computer.

(of course I also use digital)

It is a lovely City, sharing its boundaries with a national park, the only down side is that it's rather hilly - I guess at least it keeps you fit!

Dang, I wish I knew how to mimic those colors in Photoshop! What kind of camera is this? Holga?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Gwirrel In reply to whothennow24 [2008-05-07 17:47:53 +0000 UTC]

I think to mimic it you could try adding a sepia layer onto the photo and reducing the blues? That might create something similar.

Yup, it was taken with a Holga [:

whothennow24 In reply to Gwirrel [2008-05-09 00:07:05 +0000 UTC]

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Gwirrel In reply to whothennow24 [2008-05-09 20:08:36 +0000 UTC]

No I didn't do any work on it, simply scanned in and cropped etc. It's the only print in the pack to have strange colours like this, I'm wondering whether it's because I shot into the sun, so it's made it very yellow?

Eanna [2008-05-04 18:01:17 +0000 UTC]

Gwirrel In reply to Eanna [2008-05-07 17:11:24 +0000 UTC]

Thanke!

Once I get a negative scanner I'll test it out and see if it does actually scan in that colour or whether it was the work of those in the photography place [:

It's sometimes neat to see the odd colours some prints come out with. I had a set of black and whites that were haft magentia.
XD
