Thank you so much. That's really helpful! I'm going to try it on one of my images tomorrow so I'll let you know how I get on! Again thanks so much.

How did you manage to get this effect? I've never been able to figure out how it's done.

Yes I think so, I don't know what it's called, I've seen plenty of images like it but so far no one's wanted to say how they did it.

ohh okay i dont really have a specific way of doing it cos it really comes down to the lighting of the picture and where the sun is/ whether it is backlit or not but i edit all of my picture from this website [link] and the best way you can get the colour tones you want is by using the *tint* option ( its under the *effects* tab click on it and scroll down
there are different further options under tint like *normal*,*add*, *darken*, *lighten* and so on what i tend to use normally is *lighten* or *screen*( again depending on the picture) also you can change the colour by taking the mouse pointer on the desired colour and if its too strong you can always slide the *fade* thing and make it something like 20% or 50%
hope you got what i mean im really bad at explaining
if you decide to give it a go, do show me the result if you dont mind but otherwise its okay
