Whooo! It took me about 10 years to do it but I FINALLY did it. I drew some Castlevania fanart! And not just one but three pics!These pics are sort of chronological and are as follows:
Top: A rather youthful Dracula - sporting those fabulous robes he wore in Lament of Innocence that I just lurv - either meeting Lisa for the first time and noticing her likeness to his first wife OR hearing the news that he's going to be a daddy. Either of those would account for his rather surprised expression. I'd have to say it was probably more so the latter...
Middle: Lisa comforting her wee Adrian/Alucard who has been frightened by something. Aww, so sweet.
I must draw more of her with Adrian/Alucard. I'm on a "family" kick anyways. ^^Bottom: Alucard sitting and looking all sad and mopey and all around hugable. Don't you want to hug him? I know *I* do! Alucard is probably havin a guilt trip over killing his father.
As soon as school lets out I intend to do more Castlevania fanart and work these into more complete versions... and yea there will be slash cropping up as well, so heads up!
Actually it'll be a mix of "family" stuff because frankly I'm just obsessed with the Tepes family aspect and slash with a hint of hetero. Dracula/E(lisa)betha is one of the few het pairs that I like. It's sweet and tragic...never you mind that I also support Dracula/Adrian but that's because I'm strange and have strange theories...Decorative Brushes by:

Honestly I would have made those faeries look so much better but the paper this was drawn on was so small it was impossible to do anything other than little stick figures lol.

Frankly I was pissed about the switch from Kojima's lovely art to anime. I don't care how "girly" her men are at least they LOOK like a lot of work went into them. To be honest I think they absolutely mangled Alucard's - and everyone elses - looks in the new CV: Judgement game. They changed SO MUCH about his original design it made me sick. They took out the gothic periodesque element that made the characters so awesome. I hope they don't keep this style...
I wasn't particularly crazy about Alucard's appearance in the newer games (I love his 17th Century outfit damnit! DX) but I've theorized that when he's 'disguised' himself as a human the assumption we're supposed to make is that he looks like his father when he was young, specifically as Dracula looked in LoI.
Perhaps that is nothing more than crazy talk from a fangirl but I think it adds interest to the appearance change - as a dhampir Alucard mirrors his human mother but as a human he reflects his vampiric father. Dracula would laugh at that irony.
...that said at least we can play as normal Alucard in Dawn of Sorrow!
