I've spent the better part of the month working on this picture, alone. I don't do it often, but when I do sink a lot of time into something, I love the feeling of accomplishment. I hope you like it

This is a drawing of some characters from Demon's Souls; Maiden Astraea, Garl Vinland, Risaea of Istarelle and Bito(Vito?) the Moonlight Knight. And while you never see a scene similar to this in-game, I always imaged that Astraea wanted to do some holy pilgrimage into the Valley of Defilement to bring comfort to the Depraved Ones, and brought along other saintly company.

Now, some 'splainin:

Many different NPC's in the game mention the holy figures who went into the Valley of Defilement and haven't been heard from since, Astraea and Garl, of course, a holy woman named Risaia and a knight named B/Vito. (And Selen Vinland later, but she goes inward only after discovering her brother had gone.)

Thing is, when then player physically goes into the Valley, the only thing left of Risaia is her spear Istarelle and the only thing left of B/Vito is Large Sword of Moonlight. So they aren't actually pictured in any art or anywhere in game. So I made up some looks for them.

Risaea is blonde and blue-eyed because she's also referred to in-game by "Risaia of the West". And B/Vito....well he was some random garble I'm not too excited about.

Lastly, Garl Vinland is pictured without his helmet at the side of the Saint, based on his official art. Why? Because I despise his squid helmet. Srsly.

The thing I love most about Demon's Souls has to be the ambiguity. It doesn't ever say specifically that the four of them went into the Valley together, but it does imply it, a little bit.
