Description
Today I woke up soberFrom being passed out all day
I realized this binge isn’t over
And I’ve got so much more to take
Perception is skewed in this state
I woke up and hit the bottle
I started drinking right away
I didn’t dawdle
But I could already see
I didn’t drink as much as I thought
I have had a lot to drink
Mom’s never here, so I don’t get caught
But who gives a fuck
About that fucking bitch
What?
She's a mother-fucking trick
Early AFI, black flag
Oi polloi, and anti-flag
Paint the soundtrack
Noise, noise mind trash
I go through these fantasies
Getting married, warped tour
Tsunamis and Polynesian seas
Who knows what these thoughts are for?
I'm on a binge
Can you tell?
The taste makes me cringe
Yesterday I didn't stop until I fell
Today there’s more than I thought
Was left to take
Why is there so much alcohol?
I just drink it all away
Away
Life is a blur
Like middle school
Like a straw, or in my sleep, I stir
My dreams and substances are cruel
I'm so small
I'm so weak
I can't stop
I've always met defeat...

Thats just how I write, espoecially when intoxicated, as I obviously was when I wrote this. I don't "try" writing, i just do it. Besides which, this poem is a year old, Most of the other work I have posted is newer. Why don't you check that out. I do a little freeverse, but like I said, it seems unnatural to me. I only write freeverse when i am feeling especially uninspired but need to get something off my chest. I suppose freeverse is my way of forcing art. Everyone is different.
