Oh, I know the feel. I have both mac and usual laptop, and I dont use mac for drawing.
I can suggest you online drawing boards like :[link]
you just have to register and then you can start drawing...pixel, non-pixel, etc. it's like a forum where you can draw online and then post art and save it to your computer.(in case you didnt know what oekaki was) x)
