Starlight: What do you mean I was trapped?!

Luna: Not trapped my dear-just, incarrcerated.

Starlight: Incarrcerated?!

Luna: Oh, This is not helping...

Starlight: Do you think so, MOTHER?! How am I not from this time?! Am I really over a thousand years old?!*Starts to panic*

Luna: Dear, Please liste-

Starlight: No! Why didn't you tell me sooner?! Why didn't you tell me that You became Nightmare Moon, got banished to the moon and tried to rule equestria when you returned?!

Luna: It's not easy to explain, but please let me be heard my child.

Starlight: Then tell me! Why haven't you told me about my father?! Why don't you tell me about my birth?! Why did you and my father enclose me in a locket for a thousand years?!?! *begins to tears up with heavy breathing*

Luna: Starlight. Let me begin to tell you on why we made this decision.

Starlight: Then tell me! Tell me everything!

Luna: Well, first... You don't have a father.

Starlight; How can I not have a father?! How was I conceived?! *gasps* Am I adopted?! Is this another lie you've hidden away from me?!

Luna: You have another Mother.

Starlight: What?!?!

Luna: Her name,is Snowdrop. Now before you cut me off again- I used my magic to turn your mother into a stallion. We did this in order to conceive you. It took great strength and much time, but we did it. We succeeded and Well, I had you.

Starlight *Looks at Luna with shocked eyes in tears*

Luna: Your mother understood my night, She understood what is was like to be different.

Starlight: She...

Luna: Although your mother couldn't see, she knew what true beauty was *she says as she closes her eyes in bliss* She didn't know what my stars looked like, but she could hear them at night, and she then made her own star. And those stars are your favorite part about winter.

Starlight: What?... Stars?

Luna: The snowflakes.The snowflakes were made by your mother starlight, in fact when you were born you were born during the snowfall and my night.

Starlight: *looks down* ......

Luna: It was truly the most beautiful nights I have even seen. That is why we have named you Starlight, my child. You are the light inmy night, and the star in your mother's eyes. And even though she was blind, she could see your beauty and your grace.

Starlight: *sits down while still looking down* ..... *eyes dart around the floor*

Luna: Now, Your mother was not going to live for long. You grew very slowly and as your mother got older, you still stayed very young. Now, when you turned one, your mother was near.... was ne-...

Starlight: *looks up in shock* J-just skip that part.

Luna: *looks away in tears with her hoof on her mouth and closes eyes* T-thank you. *looks back at starlight*

Starlight: *looks at luna*

Luna: Now, Before I turned into Nightmare Moon, I had signs of different personality's. Your mother grew concerned and Knew what was going to happen. She grew concerned about our family. I turned into an almost full nightmare moon. And when Celestia was able to revert me back to normal, your mother soon told me what would be best for our family.

Starlight: O-Our family?!

Luna: Please. Be patient.

Starlight: Did she then tell you, because you were turning into nightmare moon that I was going to be trapped in a locket for a thousand years?!

Luna: Well yes, Bu-

Starlight: What else are you going to tell me?! That I have some long lost distant family members I don't know about?!

Luna: Well, you do have a brother,

Starlight: What?! I have a brother?!

Luna: Yes you do! It's a very complicated situation to explain but he's from King-

Starlight: King Sombra?!

Luna: Yes- Well no, Well-!

Starlight: I ONLY HAVE ONE BROTHER. I- I don't know!

Luna: Please- Starlight-

Starlight: Stop! You're only telling me Lies, It can't be true! None of this can't be true!! *Runs out crying*

Luna: Starlight....

Night Remedy: *Patrolling the outside garden, realizes a sound rushing through the garden* Who's there?!*Prepares spear*

Starlight: *appears from the other side, with her face covered in tears*

Night Remedy: Starlight?

Starlight: *looks up at Night Remedy in shock and see's the spear,and slowly backs away.*

Night Remedy: *realizes she's in tears* Starlight. *Drops the spear*

Starlight: *Shocked by the sudden hug from her brother*

Night Remedy: Why are you crying?

Starlight: *looks away*.......

Night Remedy: Who hurt you.

Starlight: Mother-

Night Remedy: Mother hurt you?!

Starlight: No! Mother, well. Princess Luna, she told me a bunch of lies!

Night Remedy: Princess?- Starlight, You should know that our mother never lies.

Starlight: I-... I know.

Night Remedy: *looks at her and stands up* Did she tell you?

Starlight: Wha-

Night Remedy: Did she tell you, about your mother and your history?

Starlight: How did you-

Night Remedy: Mother does not tell lies, ever. When she said she was going to bring someone important back, she told me everything.

Starlight: .....

Night Remedy: Don't be sad. Everything will be fine, trust me.

Starlight: How can I fine? Mother didn't love me enough to keep me with her.

Night Remedy: She did it because she knew that if she kept you with her in your original time, something could've happened to you.

Starlight: Bu- But she also has another Son.

Night Remedy: Who's story is much more of a blur than yours.

Starlight: .......

Night Remedy: We all have our stories, some sad, some confusing.

Starlight: *looks down*

Night Remedy: But our mother, Princess Luna has learned from her mistakes, and you know what?

Starlight: *remains quiet with her head down*

Night Remedy: She loves us.

Starlight: *As she looks up, she see's a semi-transparent wing hover over her.* Hu-huh? *with tears in her eyes*

Night Remedy: *smiles* Our family is different, it's complicated. But one thing we are not, we are not made up of lies. We are a family of the truth.

Starlight: *as her eyes widen, she looks up to her brother who is although not related to her by blood, is related to her by loyalty. As she soon realizes her place in life, and her understanding of the situation a bright flash happens on her flank, and she soon gains her cutie mark.*

There we go! I really wanted to explain this and I did in the best way possible.

So story short, Starlight was aging slowly, snowdrop was aging quickly Luna was slowly turning into nightmare moon and bad stuff was gonna happen. So, Snowdrop and Luna casted a spell on a locket/necklace and (pretty much like Lapis from Steven universe) kept Starlight in that necklace/locket.

Starlight also gained her cutie mark when she realized the truth and accepted the truth that she didn't want to believe at first, she saw Night Remedy as a guard and gave her the most honest, down to earth truth and that made a big part on Starlight getting her cutie mark.

Thus being, in the later future and the current time (when she's in her teens) She joins the royal guard and honors the Truth code to her very core.
