This is amazing. To see a Celtic Cross and a Crucifix combined is something rare indeed.

I had never seen that combination... But I'm not really sure i like it... I think the crosses are so beautiful, and Jesus crucified give it some sadness I'm not quite confortable with.

I have hear do Timoleage abbey, looks like quite an intricate cross, not seen a celtic cross with jesus on the top, was the jesus a later edition or this a more modern celtic cross?

I don't think the jesus was "mounted" later. The stone looks the same, judging the moss and the decay (and the irish weather) I doubt it is much older then 50 years.
I can't remember any nameplate or dates there.
