Description The M.V. Plassey went aground on an offshore rock on Inisheer, Aran Islands (that's in Ireland) during a severe storm on the night of 8th March 1960. The 11 crew were rescued by the local onshore rescue crew. It was later driven onto the island during another storm. The wreck features in the opening credits of the comedy TV series 'Father Ted'

Father Ted Is one of my all time favorite shows. I had seen the ship at the beginning of every episode and wondered about it. Thank you so much for the information.
