Thank you so much for taking the time to post a critique! And I'm very glad to hear that the things I attempted to show with the lighting are working. As always, I wish I could have done better -- perhaps more contrast in value between the two characters. But I'll always keep working and learning!
Thanks again for your critique.

Perhaps MegatronΒ mistaken Cy-Kill for another red/blue/white robot.

Actually Cy-Kill is orange, white, and black, but with that purple sword glowing all over everything, the colors got a little muddled.Β

He was a Go-Bot -- I know next to nothing about them, other than that Cy-Kill was the big bad leader.Β

Yes, he was the leader of the Renegades; some of the Go-Bots story elements were latter married into the recent Transformer series.

Love the pink highlights on Meggy. But then I had to look around for the pink lightsource, and I realized it was supposed to be the sword.
Makin' things that are supposed to be glowing really -glow- is what you need to work on in mosta your stuffs, and I totally blame the medium you work in, because this is so much easier with computer colors it seems. There should have probably been a pinkish haze going all the way around the sword, with the colors within this haze faint and subsaturated.
Still a bajillion times better than I would have done.

Thanks for the crit, Chro.
Yeah, I knew I should have done some sort of glow around the edges, but I honestly did not know how. But since I noticed that I totally messed up and his head paint swatches are supposed to be RED NOT YELLOW, and I plan on trying to fix that anyway, I might also try to put some glowiness in. It's going to be..... hard and terrifying, because if I mess up, erasing is a problem. It takes out stuff underneath that I did not want to lose.....
Yeah. Gotta be brave!!!!!!!!!

aww man this turned out BRILLIANT
i really love the feeling i get here, it has a very tangible atmosphere!
you did an excellent job on the merging colors where the actual material color and the color from the lightsource meet as well
and it's very refreshing to see that people still color with traditional media and being so good with it : >
so i have to thank you for giving my lineart some wonderful colors <3

Thanks very much, pal. I really tried hard!
Heh -- sometimes I get a little jealous of the digital guys who color these amazing things in 3-4 hours. I probably have 8-12 in this thing. You know how it is!
