Thanks, it was a fun image to paint (but that's a different project entirely); drawing it was much easier.

Thank you again! You might want to try painting sometime; I've seen your work, you're very talented, and you might like it.
But I suggest that if you ever start out, it's possible that oils will drive you away from painting (I've noticed that with most of my friends who draw all the time - the "no eraser factor"), but watercolour is a great meduim to start. It's a lot like a pencil - you can even erase the paiting with enough water and a huge rag (or a wet Q-tip, but that would take a while; they're good for detail erasing and highlights). XD
Thanks again for your kind words!

Hehe! yeah, we graphite artists do get a bit spoilt, we simply rub away what we don't want and that's it, and the better the eraser the better it is! yeah, i would love to paint! i love making art with my hands, I even play the violin, but that's another story (and not half as well as I can draw)! An art teacher once gave me a book on watercolourpaintings. I like how they look blurry, yet real. I'll see, you might see me yet with a painting or two, maybe even oil!

You play violin? Wow, so do I (I can't play as well as I can draw either)!
Watercolour can pull off the look of oil if you mix the paint thick enough - that's also why I like it - it's limitless. And I love the blurry paintings. I've done a huge triptych of peace lillies for my mother that was like that - I remember thinking it looked horrid while I was painting it but it turned out fine.
Anyway, I think I'll stop rambling...

I love advice from artists as well; I suck it up like a sponge (it's pathetic sometimes). Acrylics are beautiful - I know that painting - I've seen it. I've worked with acrylics once on an Art Club project (I think that's haning up at the college - it's HUGE), it was fun, but having no eraser scared me to death.
And thanks - I'll have to stop by and browse your gallery more in depth.
