Description I have buried you ears-deep in satin, my love
I have forged a crown out of gold threads and ruby tears -
the temples I have raised are on the North side
of the river.

Deep in the water, white fish race each other to death.

With every inhale I have absorbed your beauty, my love
with every exhale
                     inhale
                        exhale
with every breath I have purified your purpose.

Deep in the water, white fish race each other to death.

I have buried you ears-deep in satin skin, my love
I have forged you the lightweight crown out of gold-hair and blood -
the graves I have raised are on the North side
of the river.

Deep in the water, a skull lies next to ivory fingers.

With every breath I have wished I could end you,
my sinful love.

I like your poetry- staying up really late probably improves your poetry writing, lol. XD Now I have the mental image of a skeleton stuck in the mud at the bottom of a river, decorated with slimy water-weeds, while little fish swim in and out of its ribcage. Skeletons are just really cool, no way around that.

Keep writing poetry. There is never enough poetry. By the way, there is one typo in your original post- where you meant "gown", you wrote "grown", it is hard to notice because we tend to fill in typos like that with the correct word. ^^

I tend to get my inspirational moments in the night, which is kind of sad, because I already suffer from insomnia, so I should get as much sleep as I can. XD
I really like that mental image of yours, I had the same in my head when I wrote this.

Thank you for the correction too - it was actually supposed to be "grown" though. It's now fixed. (:

Yeah, I think our powers of visualization and imaginative qualities are at their best when our brains are a bit short-circuited by tiredness. All the mental chatter and alertness that kept us going through the day quiet down, and moments of inspiration have a chance to shine through, like sunlight breaking through a mass of cloud. We'd probably be a perfect match in terms of staying up late, I am up at odd hours often too. Like right now. I like the night, it is quiet. XD Insomnia sucks, though, generally it is easiest to get to sleep if you aren't really trying- and impossible if you feel you should be getting some sleep.

Such a late response again. I do not handle this very well. XD I'm sorry.
But yes, I've always noticed how night affects my creativity, poems just start flowing to my head when the night grows dark. It's a bit annoying though, because I'm supposed to sleep early. My insomnia is poison to my bipolarity. :'D
Yeah, we'd probably be the perfect match though, regarding this matter. XD

Bleh, I'm just as bad, I've left my DA unattended for several days now. But I am busy, can't help it. XD
Sleep early? I've forgotten what that is like, it must be nice, haha. Night is really great for creativity, so quiet, though. And I like getting opportunities to watch the stars.
I shall never go somewhere where I cannot pick out the Milky Way at night if I can help it. They just keep doing everything they can to blot out the stars with light pollution these days.
And, nothing creative can really thrive until the night grows dark and those familiar constellations arrive to keep us company!!
Yep, we'd have no conflicts over staying up late for sure, haha. XD

I'm not much of a star gazer - unless it's summer and the nights are really warm, haha. I'm sad that the spring is so late this year, it's still very cold outside!
Also light pollution is a stupid thing - I live in the heart of this city, even as small as it is, the light pollution still manages to block out some of the sky. Where I used to live my childhood, in the country, I could see so many stars, I would just stare at the sky for ages, even in winter. It was so beautiful.

Ha ha, yeah, warmer nights make observing a lot more fun. (: I'm just glad there hasn't been a late freeze, there is a plum tree that valiantly attempts to produce plums every year growing by my house but last year its plans were literally nipped in the bud when it set flowers before the last frost. And it still succeeds in producing plums sometimes, even though it lost much of its bark on one side many years ago and the weather isn't always cooperative. I'm waiting to see if it will set fruit this year, my fingers are crossed... XD

That sounds really cool, you were lucky to grow up somewhere where you had very dark skies. (: In cities, sometimes the only place people can learn about the sky is from a planetarium, which isn't the same at all.

Ah, that sounds kind of lovely - and I love plums XD I live in an apartment and I don't have a garden of my own, which is kind of sad because I love trees. Luckily the surroundings of the building have lots of trees, though. There's this bird cherry or hackberry tree right outside of my window, and when I open it the scent of the flowers always come inside. It's a very heavy and sweet scent though, and yesterday I got a headache because of it, but the tree full in blossom looks lovely. (:

That is true, I was very lucky. I love the sky, and it's really not the same in the city - and we don't have a planetarium at all, since we're not that big of a city. It's kind of disappointing, though I do love living in here.

Well, the little tree didn't have the energy to set fruit this year. Which is good, I don't want it killing itself trying. That bird cherry/hackberry tree sounds lovely!! I love watching fruit trees in bloom.

I have a garden in the backyard in which I grow tomatoes, peppers, and basil- it is very hot here so I have found it necessary to put up shade cloth over almost everything. Even then there isn't quite enough coverage, so I've lost some pepper plants to transplant shock and sheer heat this season. The tomatoes are thriving, though. They seem to like heat as long as they are sheltered from the sun. This year I got some German Queen tomato plants, looking forward to seeing what they are like... some of my favorites from the years before were Brandywine and Mr. Stripey, alll of these plants produce BIG tomatoes.

I used to visit the planetarium at the Science Center at the nearest big city, Phoenix AZ, it was fun but doesn't really compare with the actual sky. Now I'm onto something else, though... I stumbled onto Stellafane's Mirror Making site [link] , specifically this page [link] . Naturally, now I am plotting to build my own Newtonian reflecting telescope starting with grinding and polishing the primary mirror. Yep. It is an amazing process, really... and some beautiful (or at least highly functional) telescopes have been built by ATMs out of junk materials.
