Good for you, posting a photo on dA! And it seems to have been taken with a phone. I also recently began posting photos here, most taken with my own phone. This one looks like you were looking up to take it; were you? I say that because the shadows of the cherry blossoms look like they're on the 'under' side. I particularly like the two main branches, how they reach for each other as they also reach for the sky. It gives a little bit of an anthropomorphic look to them, and adds a sort of action to the photo. The colors are crisp, the outlines sharp... really, I couldn't ask for more. "Sakura" are especially beautiful because of the contrast between branch and blossom, the light and the dark. Hope to see more by you soon. (:

I love how vibrant blue the sky is against the pale petals, its the perfect juxtaposition to showcase them both

Thanks. My first photo posted to DA. I have an idea for fall (and the title) just looking for the right scene.

It would be interesting to see how they managed their day to day life given the sudden limitations and how to explain it away to those they know best

Thanks. Cherry blossoms. Sakura is the Japanese name for them.

I knew they looked like eastern plants. I just couldn't place the name lol.

Ah, spring in Japan! (We had spring for a few days in the UK recently, but it seems to have gone away again.)

Especially in spring, no doubt, imagining the cherries in bloom.

Interestingly, I have only seen cherry blossoms in bloom on the hillsides and street medians of Chinhae, Korea.
