Actually it is a shaman-drum. Fröja is an ancient god of fertility,sexuality, death
and sejd, she belongs to the vanir-gods and is one
of the oldest and widely worshiped gods in pre-christian scandinavia,
Fröja was possibly the the first or one of the first vanir to practice magic and
shamanism and that is why she has a shaman drum and a staff.
i try to concentrate on the religious version of the gods rather than the newer Edda-version to whatever extent that is possible.
