This is beautifully made! I'm impressed with the coloring in particular! There's plenty of life in this picture, despite the somber tone!Β The colors are muted, but not in a way that looks blah and dreary--like Ed's not just fading into the background. Β I love the light to dark gradient in the background and how you created depth with the raindrops. This is one of my favorite pieces of yours

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you get the dismal feel from the mood and color choices. It can be a bit hard to stray from my usual "cartoony" palette, but there are times I feel the need to step outside the box a bit with a more painterly effects. Oh, and I had fun doing the raindrops in the foreground. I was trying to mimic how droplets look on the lens of a camera, when you take a picture. It was interesting doing those details, but not going overboard. Thank you for appreciating it!

You really captured the fall of rain and the mood you intended with the image quite well. The muted background colors add to the bleakness and sadness in the photo which is only enhanced by the character's expression and stance. Your character art is beautiful as always and you're always improving. Great job on this one especially in generating a feeling

But despite the sad feel of the image, I think you did a really good job with the textures and feel of the rain. It really feels heavy and sad. And to me, if you can convey emotions, that's a pretty damn good thing! Keep up the great work

Well it's good to have an outlet, that's usually what art is for, right? On top of it, you have Ed to help you out too. It's kinda like you're drawing in a writer's way and almost like an actor by relating to a character and expressing yourself with them. It's such an interesting combo :3
