Description Almost finished. The texture file for this model in Blender was lost for about two weeks, and I had to start over. "Khet" is a secondary character in familiaris. Made in Cycles with 500K individual hairs and took 95 minutes for the render.

The materials and texture portions of this model are nearly done, perhaps need to make the tail a little more thicker and longer, put a luster material on the horns, paint a dorsal stripe and put the shadow back in.

I've had quite a bit of assistance from the online SLC Blender User Group...I have learned more about Blender from them in a few days then I have in the last six months, and I would highly recommend them. Thanks to all their patience in helping me with this model, even though they are way more advanced than me.

When I finish, I'll either go to rigging the skeleton and weight painting for this model or I'll put materials and textures on a different species. I have several animals in the works that are getting painted, including the leopard, zebra, Somali wild ass, pharaoh hound, coyote and African spotted dog characters which have their sculpting all completed and are ready to go into Blender. Blender is crashing on me quite a bit now and my mouse is completely wore out.
