how long did this take to render? trying to compare indigo with luxrender

HajaVaikutus In reply to HanYouReal [2012-10-26 09:06:54 +0000 UTC]

Something like half a day, but currently with the path tracking with GPU, it's takes like 1/3 time of that.

I've really gotta' find a better place for that anchor...

Very nice composition! The layout itself is amazing, let alone the quality of the models and the scene. I'm definitely taking a look at the rest of your gallery.

Now I think about... It's need a bigger anchor and a rudder wheel and some seaweed.

...

And a Barometer and casks of rom. Yarrrgh!

...

And -Shiver me timbers- floor could be still more reflective...

Thanks!

I like blender's modeling workflow and Indigo's image quality, but I'm not fan of blendigo (export script) which is code with kiwi-mentality...

( if UV mapping is missing, norm. response: render the scene without texture and give warning.
_if UV mapping is missing, kiwi-style: crash and give error message that calls user an idiot)

lol I havn't tried exporting yet but it sounds like a bit of a pain sometimes.

I haven't log real time but it was over 13 hours with i5 (3-4 cores, original image size is 300dpi for A2 e.g. 7017 * 4962)

HajaVaikutus In reply to OceansCurse [2011-05-26 20:34:24 +0000 UTC]

That is common living room decoration in town Jyvรคskylรค. it's there to honor Finnish God of Lakes and Waters - Ahti. It's considered rude and heretic to not own one (anchor).
