This idea emerged from a random conversation with a friend about football. Being a MH fan, this idea immediately sprung up to me.
"Football? Hermitaur male armor is football gear. Cheerleader? Hermitaur female armor!
Ball? Wyvern egg!Opponent? Who cares about an opposing human team! Let's throw in a Rathalos!"
And there you have it. The most intense "football" poached wyvern egg quest you'll ever see.
Other random ideas: The cheerleader's pom-poms are dual hammers! Alluring lotus (MHTri) to be exact. Trees in background look like a goal post. It also made me curious about weapon usage in this game. I'm convinced lance charging would make an excellent MH football offense. Your thoughts?

Drawing + inking time: ~7 hrs.
In any case, enjoy the picture! I will definitely color it, though coloring does take time. Comments and critiques are always appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that was the MH designers' intention-- and an awesome and amusing one at that. Male footballer and female cheerleader. I'm just surprised that the idea hasn't been drawn before, at least to my knowledge. No hermitaur male armor drawings have shown up-- much less a football one. haha.

I love how clean your linework is, and how you use the line weight to separate the different depths of the picture. This could've easily become confusing with that many characters, but everything looks very clear. I can also sit here for a very long time, staring, taking in all the detail... and I think I'll do just that :3

As long as you don't put Gravios in there. That's imba. XD Hehe I could definitely see this though. The bulky Monster Hunter armors look hella tanky and awesome. Best armor designs I've seen around.

I did debate putting other MH armor designs here (Diablos... Rhenoplos) but chose for the uniformity of a football team here. MH designs are awesome. xD Doesn't stop me from drawing more MH art later!
Thanks for the mention of the lineart, width, and detailing. If not coloring, I do hope to at least specialize in solid linework. I will color this, but it'll take a while.. <_<;

Yeah, I'm coaxing a few friends from work to start playing Monster Hunter (they just bought PSPs for themselves). The unfriendliness of the game seems to be repelling newcomers though. D:

It does have a high learning curve. Ease them in somehow? Do multiplayer without carrying them completely? One thing to note is that this game is most definitely not a hack'n'slash: get rid of that mindset. xD
