Haven't been able to do any work recently because mycomputer keeps blue screening for no apparent reason. My fiance is going to try and fix it soon.This is my Mums cat Mittens. She used to be mine, but then she hated me and loved mum, Swings and Roundabouts, eh? this is done in photoshop from a picture of her i took a while ago. She's a Calico cat, and all the blank parts of her face (apart from the other eye) are white, so i'm working on an off white colour at the moment, and playing around with it to see effects.
i'm going to use this as a base for something for mums birthday in september. maybe get it printed on a mug or something... anyways, Please i would love critique on this one, even though my fiance and my housemates all say they love it, my confidence isn't so good...

Really like it but in terms of critique i think the eye seems a bit too sharp round the edges detracting from the soft realistic feel of the image and in terms of fur i think you've done a really good job on the right hand side (I often fine animal fur a challenge) but it is maybe a little on the blurred side adding a little detail would be very beneficial in my opinion. The nose could do with being blent in to the rest of the face little bit more..
Not much more to say at this stage definitely keep experimenting with off white tones but overall its shaping up to be a really beautiful piece of art

Thank you very much ^_^ this is the first time i've used Photoshop in just over a year so this is me trying to get back into work on the program. My girl does have VERY prominent eyes, they're sometimes overpowering just looking at her. i was going to post the actual picture alongside the photoshop one, but decided against it...

Oh defiantly emphasize the eyes but the bottom line of the right eye just seemed a bit on the unnatural side to me. Amazing first piece considering a you haven't used it for a year i guess it all just comes back to you.

i guess... i'll have to post the picture too so you can see what i mean. lol. and when i mean i haven't used it properly for a year, i was only doing little bits and pieces, nothing like this. I'm so astounded that i've even done anything like this. i don't want to do anything else to it incase i do it wrong. lol. Thank you for the comments, really ^_^

Yeah i know the feeling xD I'm pretty new to photoshop too only had a tablet for a few months and haven't got round to doing much yet but yeah definitely upload that photo

i don't own a tablet *feels poor now* I have to do everything by mouse. It's amazing to know my piece is eye catching, thanks for that ^.^ And of course i'll give feedback on your art
